Nobody was that impressed either. These are the NBA’S best dunkers.I think the main problem is that their is only so much you can do in a dunk contest that hasn't been seen before. I think we've seen pretty much all that can physically be done in a dunk contest.
And people talking about bigger names, but some of those said bigger names don't have creativity when it comes to dunking. Which is why, imo, LeBron hasn't competed. Did people forget about his high school dunk contest? The dunks weren't impressive, he just jumped higher than everybody else. And some of the bigger names have already competed. Giannis, Wall, Blake Griffin, Paul George, DeMar Derozan have already competed in the past.
I'm wondering how the last minute switch from Charlotte to NO effected it. Usually, All Star games are announced 2 years in advance so most cities have plenty of time to plan and get a buzz built for it.This years weekend seems too rushed/forced.
It trickles down from the fans...0 excitement in the arena from the fans equals 0 tension...which equals 0 motivation/pressure to perform.
Maybe it's just a reflection of N.O, a bit too laid back.
why stop at vince..j-rich came revised it...desmond mason tried..but he was not fukkin with jrichTake away the prop dunks and everyone goes back to trying to be Vince Carter.... and that... would make the contest great again
