149 3 point attempts last year. 49 3 point attempts in 2003. *Pretends to be surprised there were a lot more points scored in 2016*

:mjlol: at you blaming LeBron. Nevermind, carry on and push that agenda

Out of those 149 3s, I bet only a few were contested. That's what I'm talking about here.. I don't care about the scores.. you bought that up, not me. I'm talking about how these dudes blatantly don't play defense anymore. Don't flip flop on me fakkit. Post me a pre LeBron all star game where they blatantly aren't playing defense like they've been doing the last few years.

You either have to be young as fuxk or not really a fan of the NBA to even agree that the all star has always been a layup line. :smh:

I think the main problem is that their is only so much you can do in a dunk contest that hasn't been seen before. I think we've seen pretty much all that can physically be done in a dunk contest.

And people talking about bigger names, but some of those said bigger names don't have creativity when it comes to dunking. Which is why, imo, LeBron hasn't competed. Did people forget about his high school dunk contest? The dunks weren't impressive, he just jumped higher than everybody else. And some of the bigger names have already competed. Giannis, Wall, Blake Griffin, Paul George, DeMar Derozan have already competed in the past.
most of those guys weren't stars when they competed, and really only Blake and Demar delivered
athletes now are more athletic than they were 30 years ago. The dunk contest losing its relevance just kills it for the participants

So you think they would put better dunks up now because their "stars" and not when they were younger when their legs were more spry & before the injuries (Griffin)?

Nah but you said we've had big names recently. They weren't really big names when they were in the dunk contest
honestly doesn't even have to be Stars, it's just that when you have d league guys in the contest they never deliver (Jeremy Evans contest was also terrible)
Wiggins should've done it. Larry Nance unfortunately was hurt

no, they would just copy the Vince carter dunks
I always said Dwight Howard's contests were the best in the last 10 years because of how creative he was. His 2008 showmanship was brilliant and made the dunk contest fun even when there aren't many dunks left
Aaron Gordon channeled some of that magic (pun intended) last year
We would see creativeness... anything is better than the garbage we have now

Oh, okay, I get what you're saying. Imo, they just need creative dunkers. Names don't matter to me.

That's all LeBron and those dudes.. they never use to do that until LeBron and his gen took over the game. Key word there is took over.. because LeBron was playing with the old gen too.. and the game was still pretty good. Now that LeBron and his gen completely own the game, shyt is trash. The all star game use to be litt as fukk..

720 would be the best dunk in history

Yo I've been wondering why no one has done it yet in these dunk contests

That and the dunk where you take the jump, do the seated position in mid air and take the ball under the legs and dunk it with the opposite hand. Exactly what Gordon did last year but without the mascot/prop

That shyt was an automatic 50 in the video games :hamster:
