I swear the NBA got some sort of under the table deal with NO. Giving them #1 pick after Cp0 trade then they randomly change it to NO cuz of some law penalizing the hornetsWhy is the all star game not in Miami

NO gets events like this because it's a great convention spot in that they can accommodate weekends like this.
LA's gonna get another ASG next year for the same reason.

Why does it even need to have a NBA team involved, they could host a game in Seattle have throw back sonics jerseys for the game, old school sonics home and away jerseys

That boat show uses the main convention center in MIA and use up most of the hotel vacancies. To do it on the same weekend would be impossible. Besides, American Airlines Arena stays booked with stuff around that time.

So Atlanta, Orlando, and New Orleans can handle multiple events but Miami an arguably larger system can't?
I'm sure if enough notice is give AA could look down 3 days in the convention for the ASG festivities.
