So Atlanta, Orlando, and New Orleans can handle multiple events but Miami an arguably larger system can't?
I'm sure if enough notice is give AA could look down 3 days in the convention for the ASG festivities.
That said it is what it is

In a word, yes. Those cities are much more amenable to conventions than Miami is. If the NBA wants the game in Miami, they'd have to do it head up against the Superbowl OR that first week of March.

That boat show takes priority over any event Presidents' Day Weekend. AA in theory could host the game, but the city couldn't accommodate everything coming with it that weekend.

Short notice? No.

Not too many cities (ain't got shyt going on) can take an all-star game with just a few months of prep.

I'm pretty sure Seattle could have took that shyt and it would be huge.
with what arena?

Do you know how livid Seattle residents would be? They'd be like "Key Arena is good enough to host All-Star Weekend, but there HAS to be a new arena if we ever get a team back?"

For that, they'd no-show it.
