This is your first problem. You refer to everyone in the Middle East as if there terrorist. 99% of the people there aren't terrorist and it's clear the majority of Syrians want Asad gone. Like I said breh Terrorism happens when there are a lot of pissed of recruits who feel they were wronged. Terrorist organizations need recruits to survive and the more the US keeps demonizing the entire Middle East the more recruiters there will be. Economic conditions in the Middle East are terrible and the general population is being hurt the most by it because the dictators put into power by the US are using all the money on themselves. That's why there are backlashes because the people want a legitimate government that actually helps out there own people. But people on the Right and Russia are trying to make it a Terrorism/Islam thing for there own agenda.

Great sourcing breh, Fox news is a really reliable source :comeon:

Like I said breh, keep referring to them as terrorists and they will eventually get recruited by real terrorists who use people like you as an example of why they should join them and attack the US. There will always be a hand full of evil terrorist and the only way you stop them is by limiting there recruits and there influence on the general population. Inserting ruthless dictators and demonizing them for rebelling against them is a great way to create long lines at terrorist recruiting camps.

Asad isn't going to be in power next year. From the outside Asad looks great but try living in Syria under his dictatorship and see just how great he is. Middle East dominos are falling because they were never put into place to serve the citizens. This is simply a choice of do you want to be on the right side of History or on the wrong side of it. The Middle East was stable before we went in there and put these dictator puppets in power so I don't see why they wouldn't be able to return to it again.
Assad and his fathers protects Christian minorities....That's good enough reason for me to support.

The rebels have already destroyed Christian monuments in cities conquered

What am I missing? Its not good to solve problems through diplomatic means?

Wars will always happen.
Regimes will always be imperfect.

But we do need a balance of super powers.
its 2013 for god sakes when will the human race grow up

question, who do you think we're arming in Syria to help take out Assad?

Al Qaeda-linked groups operating alongside Syria’s rebels are growing stronger, analysts told Congress on Tuesday, countering recent claims by the Obama administration and some senior lawmakers that extremists are playing only a marginal role in the civil war.

Al Qaeda and its allies dominate a large portion of northern Syria and play a key role in fighting throughout the rest of the country,” Thomas Joscelyn, an analyst with the Washington-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies, testified before the House Homeland Security Committee.

While Mr. Joscelyn said “al Qaeda does not control the entire rebellion, which is made up of a complex set of actors,” his testimony stood in stark contrast to that provided last week by Secretary of State John F. Kerry, who sought to downplay the role of extremists among Syria’s opposition fighters.

Mr. Kerry had followed the lead of Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, during hearings last week by touting the work of Syria analyst Elizabeth O'Bagy, a researcher at the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War.

Anyone supporting these rebels needs their heads examined. They've already been blamed for the mass murder of the christian syrians in the south, as well as canabalism and even fukking Chemical weapons!

The US hates Assad because he is an ally of China and Russia, that's ALL. Plus they wont play fair with Washington Pipeline plans. Russia has a vested intrest in Syria, as they play a strategic postion in the flow of oil from russia to europe.

The US hasn't even stabilized shyt in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yemen, yet they want to involve themselves in another conflict. The hubris is sickening.
