I feel the same way about Camel man, his last legit hot album was TBA

Thats a 0 hot album in the last 10 years average :scusthov: But we dont have to get into that
in rap, being subpar doesnt hinder praise.
i wish other genres were as relaxed.

fifteen years means, you started listening in 1998, or 1999.
two of the weakest years in material for that decade and rap period.
the so-called emotions or stories you are talembout.
have and were illustrated by better emcees, previously.

case in point,....
you not knowing a classic like ghetto millionaire.
which came out a year predating when you started listening.
plus, you did not know to go back.
which is what this culture is about music wise.
knowing the breaks and where they came from.
or knowing an emcee's skillset..which meek completely lacks.
duke is one of the huffest of all time.

anyway,..here is:

ROYAL FLUSH
bytch GET OFF MY dikk

http://www35.zippyshare.com/v/27383131/file.html

"they got shyt for you to do.
get a job or go strip"

I did not see it on youtube and I know it is a hard find..

every bar is real talk,..not a gloss over the point weak display of skill like meek mill.

thank me later.....

art barr

*the real actual authority on this rap shyt.....
chu can't tell me nuffin about this culture or rap, period...
sit back and take notes...

Man you really need to stop thinking that your opinion is the be all and end all of this rap shyt. I appreciate the link and I actually do remember Royal Flush from some tracks with O.C. after listening to him, he just never made that much of an impact on me.

Like someone said, 98/99 produced some of the best albums this genre has seen in my opinion, It's Dark & Hell Is Hot, Aquemini, Miseducation and 2001 all stand up to any other albums Hip Hop has produced.

And I've definitely gone back and done my research, hell the first two physical albums I purchased were Dels "No Need For Alarm" and Digital Undergrounds "Sex Packets" and 5 of my top 10 albums are from pre 99. There's only so much time in a day when I also listen to a lot of New Zealand music (multiple genres) and noone I've ever encountered online or in real life has even mentioned that Royal Flush album.

I'll give it a listen though and props for putting me onto it, you should just try and come off a little less condescending and arrogant in future, but that's your schtick so I get it:yeshrug:

Meek Mill is ok in small doses, though he is not the 1st rapper I think of when I think of Philly shyt dude is not even in the top 10 of philly rappers to ever pick up the mic. He makes a catchy radio tune and the young kids like him but then again in this stale era of rhyming thats not saying anything.

I fux with Meek. He has a lot of bangers and he makes dope music for the clubs, the block and music for me to go HAM with in the gym.

(Bumps Dreams& Nightmares Intro) :demonic:

these dudes dont seem to understand.

people who have robotic approaches to music. its a pointless argument at this point.

Name 10 philly MC's better than Meek. I wana see your list

:whoa:

meek is nowhere near a top 10 philly list.

nowhere near dog.

It's actually sad that that's the best a city with such a rich musical history can muster up in these days and times.

hes not the best in the city homie.

hes just the only one thats on.

nikka, please...
your whole agenda is about politicizing sellouts and rnb acts.
also,....
you do like meek.
if you did not,...
you would not be pissed I spoke the real about the dude.
he is all payola and failed major label resources.

he is not skilled, like that.

if he was,...
I would have noted he was.

you also,....
are conflicted cause migos was brought up incomparison.
who are actually better than meek.

i dont dislike meek, but i dont like meek either. hes hit-or-miss. the most i can say is that when hes on, hes ON. hes one of those guys.

im pissed about what? youre the one up here resorting to insults because i pulled your card.

i was simply just correcting you for talking out ya ass. and that was only after like your 5th long-winded post.

case in point, look at the bolded. you claim to be "speaking the real" but all youre doing is spewing the same recycled un-informed comments that got you shut down by multiple people in multiple threads about dude. all payola? dude was big before he even had a deal.

just like that comment in your previous post where you tried to claim that its only young people listening to meek. which is beyond false. you fell back on that, but when a similar thread is made in a couple months, youre gonna go right back to recycling that comment as well.

and i wasnt even apart of your little migos(lol) debate. so i dont know what youre talking about.

and thats where i stopped reading.

you had a bad day yesterday art. dust yourself off in whatever manner you do it in and get back up.

I cant speak for other nikkas cause quite frankly I dont give a fukk about other nikkas

But I know skill, I know technical depth, I know the fundamentals of enjoyable music.... Meek is weak in pretty much all those regards but production/sonics (shyt he has nothing to do with)

Like @Art Barr said dude's main draw is the fact that he is a wack nikka who got enough cosigns and had enough street credibility for surface level rap fans to fukk with him. Kids these days fukk with image way more than actual skill and craft so someone who emphasizes industry cock buffing and cosigns over actual skill is a shoe in. That dont make him nice tho

technical depth is just something that people on the internet bring up in order to boost rappers who make forgettable or bad music. and coincidentally, meek millz isnt an internet-friendly rapper. so that ends that.

and the idea that meek is only popular because of his production is laughable.

and again with this whole kids argument. people in their 50s are rockin with meek. yall act like hes chief keef or somebody.

lol @ industry cosigns. dude was poppin and had popular records before he even got signed. before grand hustle, let alone MMG.

people mistaking me for a meek fan, but in reality, this thread is just a fountain of misinformation.

i'll say this much, i do enjoy defending the rappers that arent internet-friendly, regardless of whether or not im a fan.

also dig him in smaller doses, he usually lives on my producer comps. his energy and voice are more built for the trap sound than most east coast rappers, so it comes off more naturally for him. his content is predictable, if he wants another couple years he has to at least find different ways to say it. Ross is a great example of doing that

Biggie, Pun, Lupe, pre-Ether Jay, Nas, Bone Thugs, pre-Tru Life Cam, Eminem etc etc... theres a long list of technically proficient rappers who make/made great music. And how is Meek not internet friendly, when you are here buffing his cock

Meek cant be popular because hes a good rapper.... he isnt :ld:

Only old heads fukkin with the bul are washed up Philly bums happy to have someone from their city in the mainstream. Whatever he's doing doesn't matter. Who from Philly has popped that the city hasn't supported :comeon:

And what songs did Meek have popping outside of Philly before he met Charlie Mack and T.I.? Dude didnt really pop nationally till the Dreamchasers project which was his MMG debut. I.e. after getting a Rick Ross cosign. So what are you talking about?

Dude is easily the wackest rapper to come out of Philly in the last 10, maybe 20 years. Bezel is better than this nikka. Will Smith got more classic songs with other nikkas writing his rhymes. And lol @ defending an "internet unfriendly" rapper... on the internet :camby:
