Not sales wise, even though Skyrim has sold 20+ million copies, as far as critical acclaim goes it would probably be bigger

I've been playing other games since GTAV including Metal Gear Rising. Nah man, GTA V really pushed the envelope. Try playing GTA IV or S.A right now, and look at the difference. It's by miles.

The only issue with GTA V is the freeze issues, they may have pushed it too far. PS4 probably handles it a lot better tho. I dont know.

Yea, it broke sales records for this generation...Something that started 8 months ago. Not trying to shyt on it, because I think the game is fire but GTA is another stratosphere and while they appeal to the same crowd, they do not have the same pop culture following AT ALL.
