Eh, I hear you. But "A$$" was already doing really well before Nicki hopped on. One could say Nicki helped propel that song to the top, but I think that cameo was mutually beneficial for them. Same for "Marvin & Chardonnay" to be honest, IMO. The names on those songs helped, but Sean is often the one who people were quoting, or who many thought had the memorable contributions.

Either way, he was a star after that album dropped. I'm interested to see where the album goes. Either way, I won't call him a "system rapper" considering how long it took him to blow up after he signed to G.O.O.D. Music. It's not like he signed, he got put on, and it was done. He built up his fan base through mixtapes just like anyone else, toured like crazy, and capitalized when he got the opportunity.
