Doesn't matter if others post their pics, they have little importance to me and my posts. I have a pretty diverse life outside of the coli. Including a professional life. No one in my professional life is added to my twitter or facebook or know anything about my personal life unless I tell them.

When you put more casual and non-professional thoughts on a forum and even further, tie it to a recognizable face and information, you allow the possibility through maybe a small chance, but an unnecessary chance that these people now have access to your personal life in some way and your personal thoughts on matters that do not have anything to do with say work or any other formal social group.

So, seriously, outside of jokes and ribbing, this is my reason for not ever putting my face or anything personal on this board. The only compelling reason I've seen people on this board give for doing that is for some sort of pissing contest of being real. I see no value in that personally.

Also, if you didn't make the thread, I could have sworn the thread was made before and me and you had a similar back and forth in the same manner in there.
