Melo's not playing his best this season, but that roster is trash. Their crunch time lineup is Melo, JR Smith, Kenyon Martin/Bargnani, Felton and Shumpert. That's fukking terrible. :stopitslime:

Look at these FG%:

JR - 32%
Shump - 39%
Felton - 39%
Artest - 37%

Team is dogshyt. :dead:

true. no one is consistent on that roster. i would love to see what melo could do with a legit star next to him. i know he played with AI, but that was never going to work.

i still think the knicks will turn this around though. once they get chandler back, JR gets his legs back, the shump thing gets resolved. i do feel a little bad for melo, even though hes paid. it must be frustrating to just want a legit chance to win and know that you dont have one. miami is on a whole other level from them. indiana is too, but i still think the knicks actually match up fairly well with them and would have a punchers chance.

Don't kid yourself, they will get washed in no more than 5 games if they play Miami or Indiana in the playoffs. Melo will run like hell once he gets into free agency. Gonna have to take a discount if he wants to play with the Lakers though. :jawalrus:

he needs to post up more, and get his teammates more involved. thats something I noticed about Kevin Durant this season, his passing/playmaking is much better.
Sadly this will make no difference. Durant can do that, because he's got Westbrook. He wouldn't have the luxury to do that if Westbrook was still out.

Its like this every year, when was the last time you had a decent coach? Van Gundy in the 90s?

teams with great players always iso at the end of games though.
There's no doubting that, but if it continuously doesn't work, a good coach would make the right adjustments. Woodson is to blame for that. As I see it, there's basically no attempt on his part to call something different.

Because deep down, it's the root cause of the discontent Knicks fans have with Melo. He's not LeBron yet Melo gets graded on that curve. It's Melo's biggest crime as a Knick really, because everything Melo has done to this point as a Knick is everything, warts and all, he did in Denver that had Knicks fans wanting him and thinking he'd eat LeBron in a series

Melo plays an awful brand of basketball. That's why he gets hated on. He's out of shape, a ball hog, inefficient, coach killer, doesnt pass, doesnt create easy buckets for teammates, doesnt get back on defense, cries to the refs and the Knicks gave up the entire kitchen sink to get him. Oh, also, Denver's getting a lottery pick in the best draft since 2003 because of this trade.

Woodson is the coach because of Carmelo Anthony. His offense is get Melo the ball and get out of the way.

because ya fellow knickerbocker said Bron would fail with this Roster like Melo...which is false. Bron would have JR looking like an allstar and him and Bargs in the PnR would be deadly.

Melo out here ISO'n these nikkas outta their rhythms and shyt....lmao

I agree with everything besides the JR part. How is Melo 10 years in and still refusing to play the PnR? If I wanted to watch isolation basketball I could walk down to the park.

Melo is a really good player but he's not a guy that's gonna lead you to a title. He's got too many flaws

I agree his supporting cast right now is trash, but there's never really been a point in the league where all the superstars had championship level supporting casts.
