I'm going to drop a post for the first time in this tired topic when I get to a computer.

In short, integration is a lot more than being able to go to the same schools and the consequences of Jim Crow and segregation had a lot more nuance and farreaching effects on blacks day to day life than often discussed.

Also will explain why integration on a whole is necessary and essentially complete separation within the United States itself is not possible and even bad as far as the laws on the book. Self segregation is ok and good in some cases but legal enforcement is bad and that is what we fought to remove.

Their would be ZERO politicians in office if it wasn't for the cr movement. You are trying to downplay that. Changes have to start on the local level, with no AAs in that position, how are we suppose to go about the change then.

Joseph Rainey & Hiram Revels got where they got because of "integration"?

Many black senators and congressmen before the civil rights movement were from districts that were purposefully draw in a why to minimize black representation at large. Way worse than modern day Gerrymandering which seeks to do the same thing today. Black senators and congressmen were intentionally neutered in their influence and power in government as a whole.

The voting rights act, something as a result of civil rights, had stipulations to minimize this. One of which was stuck down by the Supreme Court in 2013(i think?) and slowly being dismantled by guys such as this.

We have way more representation today than before. The Voting Rights act actually did a lot to increase the influence of black politicians by redrawing these districts to increase black representation and to protect it.

Cyncism is easy and yeah today is not perfect and there are still issues but this attitude I see regarding this topic understates the issues that existed at the time of the civil rights movement and in fact is belittling the struggles to me at the time.

Hell the mayor in Jackson right now is black but that fukk nikka goes out of his way to tell the citizens to

1. "pray the potholes away"
Jackson Mayor Tony Yarber: We can pray potholes away

2. Doesn't do shyt about Phil Bryant being an open white supremacist right under his nose

Mississippi Governor Declares April 'Confederate Heritage Month,' No Slavery Mention | JFP Mobile | Jackson, Mississippi

3. Uses white jezuz to justify being in the pocket of bankers...

Jackson mayor's mortgage vanishes after election

This kinda bullshyt happens all over AmeriKKKa. These black politicians are "progress"??? @Mr. Jack Napier

They fukked up because they didn't actually build anything to leave future generations. What did integration really get us? We still disproportionately go to failing schools. Businesses still discriminate (albeit covertly), and black men are still getting killed with no repercussions. I'm of the mindset that if we just kept building we'd be in a much better position. Who would watch the NBA and mlb if the negro leagues were popping? We're the biggest consumer group out there. Imagine if that money was circulating? We were sold out by the ones talented enough to be accepted by the dominate society because they were impatient and indifferent to the plight of us as a whole.

But at least we can PAWG in peace...

I don't need to watch that. If "white supremacy" has beaten you down then you are simply a person with a very weak mind.

Skin color does not hold you back in this country if you want to succeed. A toxic mindset will hold you back though.

A lot of black people have a toxic mindset. Why do you think foreign blacks are more successful in general?
Thank you for your false implications and generalizations. While I am not in any need whatsoever, I am an advocate on behalf of those who are trying to do their best to see a way clear through the evil that this nation has applied to their communities and mindsets. I am concerned about my brothers and sisters who are impoverished. Additionally, as a Black person I realize that no matter my income I am still at risk. White Supremacy is a system that affects the human race not just me personally. It is a way of life that marginalizes many for the sake of the few.

Because he's one of those who use talking points that are evasive and hold no water. So when confronted he tries make you look like the dumb one. Those type f people on this forum are the real agents. They see blacks having constructive and productive conversation, and they come in to derail. He can't answer any real questions, just like that M. I. C poster I was arguing with.

You're a trash debater, lil breh.

I asked you very specifically what were your intentions to make conditions better for the following generation and your bytch ass tried that weak ass deflection tactic. Don't quote me nikka, I don't have time for these constant cry me river bullshyt ass threads.
