hell no. you've got to get into a decent range before you can really tell. i never noticed until i purchased my first $100+ bottle of wine and drank with friends during a dinner party a few summers ago. the drunk is even different with a higher quality wine. plus, i have a friend who's a sommelier so he puts me on occasionally.

i went to a sommelier where i had like 30% discount cuz my friend's father in law owns it... i have 100$ bottle of wine... i give you the drunk feeling ... but the taste wasnt 10X better... champagne was incredible but wine not so much

Everyone has different taste buds. There are plenty of high priced wines I've drank and wasn't impressed. I've also drank cheaper wines and enjoyed them. Drink what taste good to you.
