There's been a lot of articles and stories on this. Even wine critics can't tell the difference between cheap wine and really expensive wine. There's no reason at all to pay a lot for wine. I'll never spend more than $10-15 for a bottle after I figured this out.

To be honest the real expensive wines aren't really meant to be imbibed on their own, they are meant to pair with food. But other than that, I agree, Cheaper wines do taste better from a drinking standpoint.

I live in wine country, I grew up around vineyards and my uncle runs a wine store and the largest wine club in Sonoma, CA (aka the wine country). Marketing has nothing to do with it you're just talking about a subject you don't know shyt about.
