Exactly. It's basically the same shyt over and over. They could've explored Gohan or Trunks but decided to keep the same tiring goku saves the day plot.
Dbz everyone like aw he's dead for the 10000th time we can just wish him back.
The one and only time krillin died in db. Was impactful as fukk.

Props I give dbz: iconic moments like goku super sayian, gohan super sayian 2. Goat villains
Props I give to db: more entertaining, making more sense, everyone mattered, no bull shyt power ups every fight, killing off people again again again and again because they can be wished back, kid goku being funny AF, the tournaments

i have said this since i watched the original. The story and character development are better in DB.
In terms of villains and action DBZ takes it and i cant even say DBZ had better fighting because DB's fighting is much more fleshed out and interesting. DBZ is just flurries and powering up.

Blame goku always being the hero on the Japanese fans, they complained and sent threats after the cell saga they did not want goku being weaker than his son 
this is why no main villain will ever be defeated by anyone but goku . . .
it's gets soooo boring knowing you'll always have 1 hero . . had vegeta off himself against boo for nothing ruining a perfect ending
I remember when vegeta asked what will happen when he dies piccolo basically told him bruh you ain't getting goku treatment shyt you ain't even getting normal human treatment

" .. ..what a waste

I like buu saga and it started off great. But the reason why people dislike the saga is why db is better
