Hmm...they did what about all the debauchery going on within the organization? How long did they last?

Thats besides the point. They got it partially right. The rest is a distraction.

why?

you cant have a successful community without empowered men. that is the foundation of a solid community. yet feminist go crazy when guys like me tell them to have consideration towards their boys.

its really common sense, a collective empowered black man shields, protects, provides AND promotes his woman. black women would automatically receive all the perks and benefits from the mens empowerment. but there's so much mistrust and hatred in the black community. women believe an empowered black men has no use to them, because they're either gay or with white women.
Black men are not empowered they ate coddled. The video of the man with the 17 baby mamas is proof of that. Black women coddle their sons and raise their daughters.

Gotta offer MORE food, clothing and shelter than white daddy offers before they will listen.
yep, i've said that almost word for word myself. black men have to be able to collectively trump what white daddys offers at least 3 fold, cus they'll still suffer a little for that independence.

No, not just about name calling. The name-calling is symbolic of a different problem.

And I never said anything to the contrary of your last points. I totally agree with uplifting everyone in our community, but too often, the agenda in the black community seems to be about restoring black men "to their rightful place", which, frankly disturbs me.

Ok, I gotcha. Could you expand on that problem? :hmmjb:

That's because this is patriarchal society and men are viewed as the leaders of the home and community so you can't all the way blame that narrative on the brothas. Hell, yall got Black Girls Code, yall got yall own award show, you sure as shyt can flip the channel to First 48 and see more young brothas gettin hemmed up and sent to jail for cacs viewing pleasure. So it's not as if yall are being totally ignored.

No that's not besides the point...if leaders are not held accountable then they should not lead.

This is why Black Feminism is seen as a joke....arguing a whole diff argument :what:

Empowerment does mean dominating. No one should have to take a backseat to make someone feel more powerful. Too much of the conversation now revolves around black women "taking over". Too many men (black and other races included) think that to be powerful their women have to be weaker. And I know you don't like this but the language used is a powerful indicator of how women are viewed. Calling someone a female or having female traits is a sign of weakness. It implies inferiority. Yes, it's just name-calling, but its symptomatic of a larger problem. Women are not viewed as intellectually equal, which affects everything from relationships to pay and promotion.

And I disagree with you so much about single black females and their little boys. Black women tend to worship their little boys, which is I think is part of our community's problem.

I said it already. I had ni sympathy for the man...but that is often happen in the blacl community. These men grow up like their ish don't stink. The mothers do it to overcompensate but these men still end up treating other women like dirt.

So why aren't the fathers in the community loving and raising their sons marcus. :sas1:
You like to bring up single mothers a lot so explain this to me. Blood is blood right? :sas2:

fathers that are in their childrens lives are raising their sons. studies have shown they're more involved in their kids lives as well.

just takes choosing to start a family with man over choosing to start a family solo.

I'm not blaming it on the brothas. We all live in this system, and as I said, women have internalized these messages and project them onto other women (and men) too.

Black women are the only group of women who cannot admit when they need a man. They are forced to be tough and independent. :to:

Sometimes I think that's self inflicted, other times I think bad things happened to drive her decision or she just don't want the drama. All sides feel pain in this, even the men regardless of whether or not they admit it.
