Issues that only effect black men or only effect black woman don't exist. There may be issues that effect black women more than black men or vice versa but since we're connected any issue that effects one sex automatically effects the other as well. Whether you're talking rape, sexual abuse, oow pregnancies, or any other socalled woman's issue men are effected as well. How can you think that those issues only effect or concern women?
So did you kick this bullshyt to the black women who stood up and made it clear that police brutality and racism within the justice system doesn't just effect black men? While I don't agree with the chics who tried to use these recent incidents of black men being killed by police as a wedge to divide black men and black women I do agree that it's important that people realize that black women are effected by those issues too. There are no issues that only effect black men or only effect black women. That's the lie that black feminism is built on and that's why it's bullshyt. The only system that oppresses blacks is white supremacy and black feminism serves as a distraction to that.
There is no wedge that is being created...the disunity is always there. The thing you guys that if black women day nothing then the foundation will be solid. It will appear so, while it continues to crumble from within.
When a group brings attention to themselves its largely because they are ignored or the concerns are invalidated. That's what y'all don't seem to understand.

You do know not every Black man in prison isn't a rapist or robber right.....:ld:

Yes I do but I'm not treating every black man in prison like he Nelson Mandela. How disgusting can you be to stand across from a family your kin committed such an evil act towards and act like you're the victim? I remember once watching a show about fights in the court room and one black woman yelled at the victims family "he was old he was going to die anyway " :what:

If you land in prison I ain't giving you shyt!!!!

That's nice, but the latter doesn't describe every single case. At this point, I think that simone character is a LA Fisher alias and this is one big elaborate troll job.
Then you'd like distinction made but unable to distinguish between feminists?

That reminded me of this guy living with his mother who had been bailed out of prison so many times it was ridiculous. If it had been my son, he's staying in that jail and pays his time.
Black women share their part to blame...too much coddling and these men grow up entitled.

So umm ladies. Are yall gon give a more solid definition on this whole Black Feminism thing? The fellas being hard on yall cuz they confused, hell I'm the good cop to their bad cop and I'm confused as shyt about where yall coming from with all this. Break it down in points for the brehs, we wanna understand yall plight don't take the attacks personal.
None were given...or was it ignored? Come on man, there's being hard and there's those with an Axe to grind, nothing that is said will convince differently about it. Most of these posters have not really broken down their vendetta against feminism other than division... As if the division magically appeared. No, boo, it was always there. Many posters have said that black women don't face what black men now I am supposed to believe we face the same thing...which is it.

fathers that are in their childrens lives are raising their sons. studies have shown they're more involved in their kids lives as well.

just takes choosing to start a family with man over choosing to start a family solo.
It's always convenient to use the studies that !make us look good.

Overpowering is defined as extremely strong or intense; overwhelming.

Dominating is defined as to have a commanding influence on; exercise control over.

I used the correct word for the argument I was making. :upsetfavre:

Stop playing semantics games with me. Empowering is to give power to a typically once powerless person or entity. I can empower Middle Eastern women. That does not mean I am simultaneously disempowering their men. Empowerment is NOT zero sum!

Whining to you just like police brutality for black men is whining to others. This is why feminism was created.

All I read was name calling and addressing issues like domestic/sexual violence which are important issues, but seems like something just about all women go through. I'm not even tryna be difficult, I just want to know the mission and goal of Black Feminism and how it helps the Black cause as a whole. Don't get frustrated cuz some brehs puttin the pressure on, if you just explain in a simplified way how all this works who cares if you convince someone that's up to them to come to their own conclusions.

:what:the fukk are you talking about? You're a fukking idiot:heh:

I quoted you because of this comment
I disagree...there are black female issues like there are black male issues. Men are more incarcerated than women are we going to pretend that black male incarceration isn5 specifically a problem?
My response was
So did you kick this bullshyt to the black women who stood up and made it clear that police brutality and racism within the justice system doesn't just effect black men? While I don't agree with the chics who tried to use these recent incidents of black men being killed by police as a wedge to divide black men and black women I do agree that it's important that people realize that black women are effected by those issues too. Where is your disconnect? You say that there is no wedge being created when you are clearly trying to separate issues that we as black people face by sex/gender. That's a wedge you dumb bytch. Our issues should not be separated. Domestic violence doesn't just effect or concern black women just like police brutality doesn't just effect or concern black men. If you're serious about dealing with any of those issues then you need black men and black women at the table. Black feminism says that black women need their own table. That's undeniably divisive.
