He wasn't averaging 40 but he has a higher career ppg average than Kobe, Melo and Durant and has a higher career shooting percentage than all of them too.

So for LeBron to "not be a scorer" I think he's doing pretty damn good.

Also, his % is up because he's improved his shot. Simple as that. He's still taking jumpers and he's shooting over 40% from 3 this year.

78% of Kobe's shots are jumpers, he shoots 45% eFG on them with 38% being assisted. He scores a total of 14.4ppg on jumpers.

66% of LeBrons shots are jumpers, he shoots 53% eFG on them with 37% of them being assisted. He scores a total of 12.8ppg on jumpers.

Kobe takes 5.1 threes a game and makes 1.6
Bron takes 3.4 threes per game and makes 1.4

You double LeBron, he got another top 5 player that can drop 30 on you just as easily. He got a big man down low he can dump to, who spaces the floor & is nimble enough to keep up with the fast break style Miami likes......and if all else fails, he has world class sharp shooter wide open on the arc waiting for the kickback because nobody's paying him any attention

Now look at this year, Bron is averaging 3.4 attempts (less than half an attempt per game off his career average) and he's making 1.4 (slightly more than his average). Meanwhile Kobe is taking a whopping 5.1 attempts this year, more than a full attempt more than his career average and only making 1.6 of those.

In other words, LeBron shoots a very efficient 41% from 3 while Bean is shooting 32%, below both of their career average which I've already shown you are virtually identical (both at 34% for their careers).
