It's really easy to understand if you watch him take jumpers and then freethrows.
Simple answer, he barely uses his legs on his freethrows, it's pretty much just an arm shot.

y u hatin tho? just my personal opinion on what i could see him getting with they way he plays with a proper team and his peak skillset. everybody wants to say how great he is but when u put numbers up nobody wants to pin point would they think he should be getting. post what u think he could average at the pek of his prime.

lots of layups, fast breaks, with wideopen J's...dude take maybe 3-4 jumpers a game sometime, unless he's hot...he gets in the paint easy, he's basically a big out there, that's like Chandler/Al Jefferson/Dwight in the paint, he better shoot that percentage, if Kobe lived in the paint of course he'd shoot that %
I wonder if he can get it up to 60 percent one day. It wouldn't suprise me because he's been taking better shots and knowing when to shoot the jumper and take the drive for the past two years now. I don't see anything changing about that. And people talking about he doesn't hardly shoot jumpers or 3's obviously are not looking at the games. Bron's jumper has improved greatly and while u still would rather him shoot it than drive it, when he has his feet set he's pretty automatic with the j now. His offensive game is pretty complete now and he doesn't have to just rely on brute force alone anymore. These next 3 to 4 years are gonna be scary for the rest of the league.
