I agree, but that's not the discussion here, is it? Y'all were spinning ducktales about how Game got new music better than "In Da Club" :laff:

That's hilarious, considering Game's never and will never make a song as good as "In Da Club" in his life.
In Da Club is :trash::trash: shyt is so overplayed and it's just a corny ass song now:scust:

same thing goes with Game, his mixtapes are better than his albums besides The Documentary 1,2 & Doctor's Advocate. it's all subjective, but one i will say is that i was listening to Game's shyt more than 50's right after The Massacre dropped. again i don't listen to songs with a formula, i'm a fan of lyrics. and Game's a far more better lyricist than 50.

nonsense,by who?
See this is why i stick to facts, because everyone thinks THEIR experience (or bullshyt their pulling out the sky) trumps everyone else's viewpoint.

I didn't use the word "nonsense" in the post you quoted, so I don't know how to answer that.

and all I said was that its not a consensus classic. and clearly its not......unless you simply don't know what that term means.

Speaking on In Da Club....it was a Detox throwaway beat too and was part of the Aftermath formula. They basically rebooted 50 the same way they reboot some of the other artists they had, including The Game.

okay I re-read it. i see what you were saying now. my bad.

I'm talking in general, it was never received as a consensus classic. way too many people didn't f*ck with it like that. and as you can see, the underlining theme coming from the majority of the posts in here is that the album aged like spoiled milk.

if you need a better understanding, all you gotta do is compare it to an album that is generally viewed as a classic. you don't even have to go all out and compare it to a goat album. just compare its reception to a run-in-the-mill classic and you'll clearly see that it doesn't stack up.

Most things are rudimentary and trash. Few are rudimentary and brilliant. In Da Club is the latter.

what was so brilliant about it?

brilliant party song and if you were clubbing in those days you'd see it first-hand. the starting with "it's your birthday". smart as hell because it was always someone's birthday in the club.

The beat is fantastic. Deceptively simple. One of the few beats that's nonthreatening to people who have little-to-no rhythm but also has pockets of grooves for those who love to dance.

But it's just revisionist bullshyt. I vividly remember what the album meant when it dropped and revisionist shyt in this thread means nothing

That whole Aftermath sound did age but debating whether or not this is a classic album is crazy.

This is a defining album of that decade, every body fukks with it and the album was hard as hell.

"Heat", "Many Men", "Back Down", "What Up Gangsta", "Wanksta", every song on this album got play. It had the impact, the sales and the singles.

The Coli yall.
