I'm not just talking sales though. I'm saying people were legit loving the album, calling it classic and saying 50 was the new tupac (which i didnt agree with)
And actually I love the Infamous.
I'm not saying people didn't legit love the album and I'm not saying that people weren't calling it classic.
I'm saying there were way to many people that weren't f*ckin with it at all. too much negative feedback for that album to be considered a consensus classic.
and as I predicted 13 years ago, it seems like half of the people that loved the album back then, don't think so highly of it now. again, another sign of it not being a true classic.
I don't bat an eye when I see someone calling it a classic, cuz I understand what that album meant to a lot of people. but i'll never view it as anything more than an album with classic impact, in the same vein as puff daddy.
snide remarks? Did you take offense to "if you were clubbing in those days?"
I wasn't trying to diss at you all, breh. No sneak diss or whatever. I was trying to conjure up the memory in your mind. You may or may not have been clubbing those days. I know you know your stuff but last I remember you're 30. "In Da Club" may have been before you were going out like that, or maybe you were already going out

Either way, when In Da Club came out, it hit. HARD.
This isn't "Right Thurr" or some shyt that was obvious pop and while popular, would be forgotten. In Da Club was much bigger.
my bad. I apologize for taking that out of context.
that's usually how snide remarks are made on here on the slick, plus I was arguing with an a$$hole in another thread at the same time. that's still no excuse tho. I apologize from the bottom of my heart homie.
but yea, it didn't add up, cuz I never get into it with you like that. hence, the reason why I threw my bag of insults away in the bushes.
anyway, yea I'm 31. I wasn't in the clubs when it dropped but yea this was getting crazy play at parties, and it was still wack as f*ck to me. most radio-friendly music was awful by that point. the era of the most generic/formulaic singles ever. I didn't like the beat either but I always figured it was just me.
