:wtf: whatever happened to quality over quantity?

let me guess, azealia banks & iggy azealia better than lauryn hill too
:dahell:
Nope not at all. Lauryn Hill was in The Fugees and drop an all-time classic solo album. She has an actual catalog. those other girls aren't even part of the same era as her your comparison makes no sense at all.

I don't listen to Tyga at all but he's out working and delievering music that his fans enjoy at least. Jay Elect blew up in 2009, It's almost 2014 and he hasnt released shyt, he's off the grid and semi retired and he never even got started it. It's not like he's a legend like Andre 3000, Dr.Dre and Lauryn. He's like ball player that retired in his rookie year or some shyt.

and Priest deserves to lumped in with bums? nah, he has 2 4 mic albums and birthed Jay's whole steez. that quality thing dont matter when all you have to show for 7 years is a basement quality bootleg and some singles with Just Blaze

theres more quality on Heavy Mental (13 or so great tracks) than Jay has great tracks. and i love Elec but alot of his shyt is demo status bummy shyt, the Something To Hold Onto/Exhibit A/Spotless moments are very few and far between

:stopitslime:

jay elect has delivered some of the best bars i've heard in YEARS. YEARS. :upsetfavre:

to downplay his skill because of the sound quality or lack of material is petty to me. almost as if you're reaching to find a flaw.

yeah lets end this sh!t right here and right now.

first off priest is an O.G. with an appearence on a classic 90s album. actually it might be more than that but thats a fine title for now.

second; priest first appearence on wax is as heralded as nas verse from verbal intercourse. jay elec has no classic debut appearence nor does he have a verse as heralded as KP's first.

third; Jay Electronica is a hippocrite and hasnt even fully blossomed in the industry. newer artists like saigon and papoose and joell ortiz took years before they even attempted any commercial stance or what we call "selling out"

jay elec went from riding puffy, to SOHH posting, back to the underground to then mysteriously appear aligned with puffs good friend jay-z.

soon after releasing exhibit C he was rewarded with a mountain dew commercial.

you guys tell me what artists in the game were given PepsiCo. commercials with literally buzz off one underground single which actually demonizes the standards.

then we have his "jim jones kanye jeezy" diss on that one song from years ago, only to have him 180 and big all those artists up.

now take into account his twitter history (which he deletes) and you have the makings of an industry plant.

killah priest has neither sold out or even publicaly beefed with the WU for 20 years.

a priest is a man who works for god.

electronica is a genre of dance music from the 90s.

its in the name.

and those bars are heavily influenced by Priest, we gonna act like he has a song that compares to B.I.B.L.E.?

its not just sound quality, its the music quality. the self produced stuff is rough, the best of his early material is the Dilla and Madlib instrumentals. for only having 50 or so songs theres really only about 10 really great ones. thats not much to show for 6 years

The thing is I'm still eating off the shyt he dropped in '09. His shyt ages like wine breh :manny:

My comparison was to show you how dumb your comparison was to me. Since when is a rapper better because of dropping more albums or doing more shows..

After Lupe dropped his Fahrenheit 1/15 series, I already put him above 80% of rappers EVER :dahell:

But if you wanna talk about relevancy, Jay Elect was on arguably the biggest song of the year :dahell:

He only has about 60. Not counting features.
i edited my post because i realized i was wrong, my bad. yes jay elec does not have many songs to his name, id say he has 100-120

I'd call Act 1: Eternal Sunshine a classic though. You can't deny that song is incredible.
did you not read my post? its much deeper than this random sentence you typed.

mind you i wont speak about denying anything because it seems you denied my post.

this is a lie. jay elec does not have 60 albums of unreleased material.

so basically jay elec fans have to lie to prove how he is better than his father.

KP has 10+ albums so how does jay elec have 60?

your obviously counting bootlegs that have different tracklisting but share from the same pool of 100 songs :stopitslime:

this is pathetic.
