I'm saying I agree, Boxers will beat MMA in a boxing ring or street fight. You don't want to stand against a boxer. MMA rules, boxer loses.

Grappling is not the best strategy for ALL scenarios. Your sight and movement are limited and you can not see all threats.
BJJ, grappling is very efficient YES, if it is truly one on one and you are able to get a take down, yes you can make quick work of anybody who is not experienced.
BUT in reality a boxer, muay thai, kick boxer, high tae kwon do skills can light you up very fast before you can be successful at getting them on the ground
In the UNPREDICTABLE street scenario any of the aforementioned are safer bet than wrestling, grappling, bjj

I box and dabble in kickboxing but my leg game is admittedly weak.
People really approach this from the most cursory position too. A dude who just knows bbj Id take the boxer easily because they are sub artists. Their explosion comes from when they get you and its hard to catch a boxer who dont want to be caught.
Now if the bbj dude cross trained in wrestling Id take that person because they can explosively land takedowns and the work the ground. But if we are able to splice disciplines a boxer with some wrestling defense is fukking all them up with ease

MMA striking is not the same as boxing...
MMA fighters literally train their boxing differently due to the ruleset.
Boxing is a very specialized sport, it's very particular in its defences, movement, stance, even the way they throw their punches. Alot of aspects of boxing dont cross over to MMA due to the more open ruleset and variety of attacks. Still boxing is a very good toolset to have in freestyle fighting contests of course but just like every other part of MMA there's give and take.
