Let's end this pro boxer vs coli discussion. Anybody decent in grappling could easily beat a pro lightweight boxer.

Like I always say you need both. Most people don't have knockout power. Most people I train with at BJJ, cross train with Muay Thai or something else. That being said, a pro lightweight is different.

I feel like a pro is getting rid of everybody except Brown Belt and up maybe because getting in for that takedown, you may eat a rib shot or 2 that will sit your ass down.

The advantage BJJ has vs boxing is you can manage distance. Unless boxer has lighting speed, after keeping distance with jab, bjj can shoot for a takedown then it's cliped.

Boxing will ALWAYS be the superior art form, because the overwhelming majority of people have no clue how to throw a proper punch.

Put some boxing gloves on and start hitting the Heavy Bag, people instantly look lost. No power, all arms, off balance, no purpose for throwing each punch either, poor stance, footwork, uncoordinated. Obviously no stamina either. Same goes for Shadow Boxing, it never looks like they are actually fighting an invisible opponent.

That Wrestling and MMA shyt is for people scared to go toe to toe, and since most people have no clue anyway how to properly fight and defend themselves, it always will look like it's the dominant artform, but in reality it covers up their inability to see you with the hands, in which they will be exposed for the frauds they are.

No,

I'm saying I agree, Boxers will beat MMA in a boxing ring or street fight. You don't want to stand against a boxer. MMA rules, boxer loses.
So you don’t train in no martial arts, don’t have no first hand experience
And with your lack of knowledge you come to the conclusion that a amateur “grappler” can beat a pro boxer in a fight

This, even though I would say boxing is better for self defense than bjj, overall the average person who boxes for a hobby (2 to 3 times a week for 1 to 2 hours) doesn't really have the power to put away the average person in a self defense situation. From my time in the boxing gym I'll say about 90% of regular gym goers don't have "real power".

Luckily for me I'm in that 10% though :sas1:

Time after time, people that don't know anything about grappling get embarassed. Knowing both is the key. You have to be good on your feet striking, but you absolutely must be prepared for he fight going down to he ground. Most do

Why do you need experience? Do you need experience with guns to know are dangerous?

Ask anybody in the professional world, look up videos. wrestling is devastating and dominates boxing.

You train at a live gym you pick up the other shyt...some not legal in boxing...some dirty as hell

I can throw a nice ass kick that is trash in comparison to muay thai cats in my gym but to a random in the street I would fukk their shins up :dead:

Ive been boxing for years but I know how to throw knees, elbows alla that shyt just from fukking around with the kickboxers. Id be more afraid of a wrestler than a bbj dude. Them cats legit think they bbj is god mode and can sub people 2x their size and shyt off gp

How can you know the difference if you don’t have first hand experience, you going off what some other dude said

And post unbiased videos of people in the professional saying wrestling dominates boxing

If you don't understand that no fighting style is perfect there's no point debating you.

If you don't understand a fighting style has weaknesses there's no point debating you.

Boxing is great but has weaknesses against grappling and leg kicks.

Taekwondo has weaknesses against punches and grappling

Grappling has weaknesses in striking, setup time and leaving yourself exposed

It's called research and listening to experienced coaches and fighters. Any experienced boxer would tell you they can't beat a wrestler 1 vs 1. Do you read my guy? No fighting style is perfect. Every fighting has weaknesses. You don't need experience to understand that.

Post a pro boxer that says a amateur wrestler will beat them in a fight
