like @Originalgangsta317 said everything happens, i've seen/heard female co's at womens prison set up other officers on some black mail shyt saying they fukked a female inmate, i've seen co's make deals with inmates to put hits on other cos.hell at one prison the warden was bringing in "product" for gang members cause a co leaked info about his daughter to gang members inside the prison.you name it, it gets done. hell they told us about a co that got mad and on his last day opened up all the cells in a max unit and threw the keys on the floor and walked off the compound. cos be under a lot of pressure at times. this shyt is stressful if you don't get away and relax. mfs doing 16 hrs shifts 6 days a week constantly burn out quick and the worst happens

Aww man they do everything under the sun literally fam,I can't speak for everything else,but the reason I got sent to maximum security is because these fukk boys be thinking they tough wit them badges on,so they fukk my cell up and then this one CO fukkin ripped my family photos up it was on after than I lost it,but if you touch a CO you get sent straight to Maximun security and that's what happened.

But yea they do everything you can think of man,some CO's cool tho but most of em suckas

see them co's i let get beat up. i dont care what you claim i don't care what your charge is, i'm just doing my job.you(cos)go in there thinking you superman, you get humbled quick. especially if you jeopardize me going home to my kids.i've had partners that b on that bs but because i'm cool with the inmates, they've told me to walk the other way or to take my time doing something else.

had to work doubles the last few days, but i did prisoner extradition working for private companies and got burned out being on the road all the time. you see people transform literally right in front of your eyes. prison does something to a person. whether a good event or bad, people change. just this weekend an inmate cut himself open and pulled out his intestines and i'm so numb to it i just called in the code for medical to come get him. worked at the hospital watching the inmates that come from surgery and an inmate died right in front of me.i had no reaction.

they want real food more than anything. if you get involved with them, you're in bed with them for good. most people just quit before they get set up or caught. i don't tell them i am eating the food, simply because i don't want anyone to take their frustration out on me.

being a c/o really is 50% you and the rest is compiled of everyone else. if you have a fukked up partner, its gone be a long night. they get the inmates riled up and pissed off and they start tearing shyt up.if your partner is lazy, you wind up getting frustrated because you have to work harder and they don't just remove a mf from the post like that. plus if the inmates see you beefing with your partner, they prey on that shyt.

today i had an inmate try to splash me because he thought he couldn't go to rec or take a shower. he was so busy fussing cursing and spitting at the window he didn't give me a chance to speak. he arguing with other inmates and my partner, im just standing there. so he puts up a sheet to cover his window and my partner yanks it down. soon as my partner did that, the inmate tries to throw piss on us. i slam his hand in the flap and try to break his fingers. hes gone be on a diet for the next few days. and by diet that means he wont eat. people say that violates the inmates rights,but once they attack an officer, and threaten us, the prison puts in measures to protect the officer. so he gets no meals because he threatened to throw urine,feces, or semen out his flap everytime an officer opens it up.

that's so fukked up...as a black man you should feel like shyt for participating in modern day slavery

Anyone want call ask anyone that has either been in prison or worked there for a period of time.
First off, its not like the movies or the shows,UNLESS you make it that way .

Lets see where shall we begin
Is there rape? Yea but not as much as you think. If you get raped, either as an officer or an inmate,in most cases, you provoked that shyt. Female officers get raped cause they get too comfortable with inmates or go in there tryin prove a point. Lets be clear, inmates run prisons, they outnumber us. Yes there are some sick mfs in there and you just have to watch yourself.
Is the gang life what you think it is? NO its worse. Pen rules are way more strict and the punishments are more severe.
The homo shyt that goes on, dudes try an keep it a secret,cause you get moved to a special unit. Its too much liability to have gays with others because of hate crimes.
Do the officers be on bullshyt? Hell yea,there are 3 types of officers. You have the ones like me that just come do my 16 hrs and don't be over doing the shyt(being a bully, trying to be over detective,etc) the ones that get manipulated by prisoners and get set up,beat up, etc and the ones that just sit and hide.
any specifics i'll be glad to share

in my prison you have to earn those privileges but it can be done at least 3 times a week

trust me they pick and choose which ones to go to, cause some of em be on some wild shyt. i used to do prisoner extradition and cook county il THEY WOULD NEVER FILM THERE, same for angola la. some of the worst of the worst. the shyt on tv is tame

dude climbed thru the vents to the roof top. problem is, he got stuck on the roof, everything is covered in wire and separated so much you really gotta move. then he tried to climb the first fence which is 12 feet high, has sensors on it and razor wire on top. he cut open his intestines.

another guy tried to escape thru the garbage truck, not knowing that it has to be compressed in order for it to leave prison grounds. there are also heart monitors that can detect even a mouse's heartbeat. so lets just say he didn't make it pass the compression stage.

one thing, hmmm, honestly, i can't. it depends on how long you were in and whats your support circle when you were locked up. coming from a prison and then hitting the outside world with no one there for you over a long period of time, can severely damage someone.

maybe in one of those 3rd world shyt hole prisons in say Mexico or any random Latin American country but even the most poweful prison inmates in the US fall in line/submit to Boss/CO authority or else



the petty criminality enterprise convicts are able to operate in prison are because they are allowed to by corrupt guards (whom likely getting a cut if not running the racket themselves )not because inmates are bosses above the law whom run the institution

that's like saying Stephen ran Calvin Candy's plantation
