North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
From a basketball standpoint it didn't make sense. D'Antoni is a horrible head coach. He's probably had as much talent as any head coach through out his career and never been to the finals. Not once. And they don't even have the right players to run his system. Kobe and Nash are old.

Like I said and got shytted on, the Lakers best bet was to suck this year and hope to get Wiggins or Parker. You either get your superstar franchise player in the draft or free agency. The lakers only hope is that Cleveland some how fukks up that roster and drives Irving away and Love somehow gets traded to them or something. If Kobe comes back they probably won't suck enough to get a high lottery pick.

The Owners blocking that Chris Paul trade will haunt the Lakers for years to come. The Clippers, Warriors, Rockets, Grizzles, Thunder and Spurs are all ahead of the Lakers and its all on Buss.

So in other words they have to pray Cleveland messes up so they can get Irving 7 years from now?

and if they hire Rambis, kiss Love goodbye.

Yup, the lakers probably didn't have much of a chance even with howard. Kobe is coming off his achilles injury and nash should just retire.

He kinda lucked up in that Houston traded for Harden. Asik already said he's not staying. He said he doesn't want to back or play along side Howard which speaks volumes imo.

Howard is also gonna put even more pressure on Houston to win now and I don't think they built for it.

can asik force their hand though?

prime athletic dwight and gortat didnt look too good so id imagine current dwight and asik would be pretty ugly

i dont see why the hawks take on his contract though...especially when they just signed millsap

rockets fans are confident josh smith is locked up though

Because they have the space to do it. Beats losing Josh Smith for nothing in their mind.

I want Atlanta selfishly to go get Asik

Nah breh, Houston is built for it. Lex Alexander wants to win BADLY. I worked for a company that has a partnership with the Rockets and he was very candid about doing what they could in free agency summer of 2010 in one of our meetings. Of course it didn't work out. When they got Tmac, they didn't stop there and traded for Scola from the Spurs and signed Ron Artest and hired Adleman as coach. You can't tell me they did not spend a lot of money and make major moves. Barring injuries, that team should have went to at least one NBA finals.

i thought lins contract was 8 mil per year if they get traded and 5/5/15 if the bulls/ny matched?

I'm talking about the players. They were good last year but they pretty much flew under the radar. They couldn't beat OKC minus Westbrook. I don't see Howard as a piece that some how gets them over the hump. I don't see him bringing leadership. I see him bringing extra scrutiny from every loss and every big game they don't play well in. Miami and Lebron/Wade/Bosh were built for it. Dwight folded in L.A. Instead of saying he wants to lead a team to a title, he says he wants to go to a team where he has a chance to win?
