UFC fans complain about there being no stars.

WWE is in a much better place.

But, I would love to see Alex Pereira in a WWE ring.

Casual Fans need stars hardcore ones dont theyll watch regardless. The UFC don't want their fighters to become too big because once they do and find their voices they start dictating terms which they don't like. See Jon Jones GSP and McCracker.

Will never happen

If you think the tribalism in wrestling is bad now put that up with UFC stans going at it:picard:

Hardcore wrestling fans aren’t looking for MMA (sure there’s Bloodsport but even that is worked)

Hardcore UFC fans wouldn’t touch professional wrestling

Sure there’s fans of both but the majority on both sides wouldn’t let it happen

Crossover in terms of WWE vs. UFC, absolutely not. The amount of injuries would be staggering. Hell, I don't think promoting UFC events on WWE shows and vice-versa would work. MMA fighters and your average MMA fan can operate on a special level of ignorance. Imagine asking some of those dudes to not curse on television for five minutes. Also, you know Dana wouldn't want them around WWE wrestlers and hearing about the amount of money they make.

Just came across this tweet and I see what yall mean about UFC lately.

Just a casual but no idea who the main event guys are. I do know the women like Shevchenko, Grasso, and Silva.

I see Holloway vs Poirier in July so that should be a big draw. But this card doesn't seem like it. Prolly high ass ticket prices too.

Yeahhhhh

Eventually this will be WWE's fate given how TKO gets down. The problem with UFC is that Dana is too fukking cheap to make a cohesive event without it being a boring slog of no named meat heads and octagon rats :francis: . You look at promotions like ONE and Rizin, its night and day. The fighters may not be on the western radar, but they are presented like Gods.

Meanwhile, in the UFC:

  • Meh opening
  • Commentators ramble for hours
  • Tin can fights in a Saudi's moms bunker
  • More promo and bullshyt for another meh fight
  • Fighters come out with no fanfare or sometimes music :dead:
  • Main card starts at 11pm Koalabama time
  • More babbling from commentators
  • Main event starts at 12am Koalabama time
  • 10 minutes of dry floor fukking or a random kick to end the fight
  • Dana and em talk for another hour during a press conference
Trust me, this is the WOAT time to be a MMA head. There was a time when you could go on Reddit and etc to see recent fights, commentary, and star power. But with how bland and cheap the UFC is, all you see is clips of the past events and folks wishing that PRIDE Never Died :mjcry:

Makes me wonder how MMA fans feel about PFL seeing how UFC has been in a down period for awhile
