Which brings me to my next point. Lack of diversity. Houston is diverse, Dallas is too but the ppl in those cities don't really put their stamp on that culture the way they do in LA or a Chicago. The other cities in the south aren't even in the discussion for diversity

And this is another reason why black people won't unify completely. Clowns from different regions of the country too busy trying to hi-side on other regions.

If you feel like the South is boring, take your ass back wherever you came from. Plain and simple.

I would say the midwest is the worst region in the US. At least the south has beaches, mountains, and cities with growing, diverse economies. Also the urban cores in up-and-coming cities like Charlotte, Nashville, Austin are expanding, moving away from car culture.

HELL
Sheeeiiiittt come up to DC, movahfukkas would turn up all season pre-COVID. I can’t tell you the amount of times I had to maneuver through hella crowds on both 14th Street and U Street after work either within my car or omw to the Metro station and it would be in the low 40’s or even high 30’s in the middle of fukking January or February :wow: And that’s just the nightlife....The brunch/day parties in DC be off the chain too even when it’s brick asf outside. The pandemic temporarily killed nightlife in DC but the brunch/day parties are still going strong since nikkas stay promoting them every weekend on The Gram and FB.
That's not actually cold though compared to upper Midwest cold. In Minnesota we would consider that warm.

In Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis it regularly gets below zero outside, even without counting the wind chill.

Once it gets below 10 degrees, plus the wind, blizzard conditions and icy roads, no one wants to leave the house to do anything.

it's not even the infrastructures that makes it boring

most the the southern city grids are terrible and the streets are unwalkable because everything is just spread apart. only California can get away with that because it has great climate and and geographic for outdoor activities. Are there even any southern cities making the top 30 density list? That's an indication of how boring it is. The more dense a city is, the more cultured it is, the better the city's architect , better looking women, etc
Atlanta is boring as hell. mostly just malls, ugly buildings near the downtown, lots of roads and urban sprawl for a big city. Just not a walkable city.

You southerners need more street shopping. malls ain't popping no more.

That’s a very common theme I’ve noticed with most Southern cities, big or small. They would have a traditional grid layout in the downtown core that’s very similar to the East Coast and Midwest cities but once you’re outside of that, their grid system starts looking like a bunch of ant farm trails and oodles n noodles and the presence of sidewalks tend to be a lot more hit or miss and downright abysmal the further out from the downtown core you are.

Throughout my whole life, I've never seen or heard anybody overrate the South as much as the locker room/the coli does. There are nice places in the South but they aren't better than places in the Northeast, West Coast, or even the Midwest.

Yeah okay, there's a lot of black ppl condensed in certain areas like a can of sardines, warm weather, soul food (which can be made anywhere), and cheaper prices but eh that's not enough to make the South great.

The northeast and the west coast (even the Midwest like Chicago, Detroit, Ohio, etc) are much more fun/livelier regions. I feel like if you're an old head pushing near 40 you'd probably like the South because it's quieter (boring) and slower. Maybe that's why the South is soo overrated on here cause a lot of heads are old as it is pushing 40 and above.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Before you read, this thread isn't taking about new Orleans or Florida

But everywhere else in the south I have been has been underwhelming compared to places in other regions

For one, the cities are mainly ugly af. Boring looking houses that all look the same, terrible infrastructure, not by any water or nice beaches

Its hot as hell half of the year and no one ever feels like doing shyt unless it's going out to party. Ask someone from the south to prove the south isn't boring 9/10 they're gonna tell you to do something that involves some type of party/partying

Don't get me wrong partying is cool but it's not enough to make a city fun, especially in the modern day world where ppl don't even dance at parties anymore, it's basically just ppl staying to their friends and making snapchat videos

THE FOOD IS OVERRATED AF. I can speak for la and Chicago (never been to nyc) but in those 2 cities you can get food from Damn near anywhere and it's fire. Down south ain't like that. You find a place you like and you stick with it. It's not like in LA where you can eat anywhere n it'll be fire 9/10. Not to mention the pallet in the south isn't anywhere near as diverse

Which brings me to my next point. Lack of diversity. Houston is diverse, Dallas is too but the ppl in those cities don't really put their stamp on that culture the way they do in LA or a Chicago. The other cities in the south aren't even in the discussion for diversity :mjlol:

Idk man, if you never lived outside the south especially in Southern California you just won't understand. At the end of the day we can keep trying to convince ourselves that the south is the goat but we know it's not brehs :mjcry:

If you think I'm lying then I dare the southern posters to come in here n name just six fun things they did in their town last year(or 2019). Or post pictures. Then the posters outside of the south can do the same. I bet the difference is night and day. The south nikkas finna be talking about a day they went to a bbq truck and and hookah lounge :dead:

:ahh:

How many nikkas accused you of being a New Yorker for this thread? Lol
