Mike never played one team in the NBA Finals as good as this Spurs team.

Utah was starting Byron Russell and Greg Ostertag. Their best bench player was Howard Eisley.

Seattle had one superstar in Payton and a popular dunker in Shawn Kemp.

Phoenix played no defense and Oliver Miller got tick.

LAL was super flabby and Kareem was gone. Even then, Magic :eat:

Portland was good but they were no different overall than Indy. One team is better on offense (POR) one is better, longer, and stronger on defense (IND)

MJ played in an extremely weak era. Imagine if other teams had a big three like San Antonio. MJ would be just another Dr. J.

jordan was playing against must lesser talent at his position. just like...guess who... LBJ. MJ thrived on chumps and lesser opponents. smaller, slower, not nearly as athletic. mj never met his match athletic, size wise. NEVER. just like LBJ probably will never meat his match. where mj has the edge is 2 places. he's not a little girl when it comes to pressure and MJ worked on his mid range game when he realized the pistons were not going to let him get layups and dunks and they would sit on his right hand.

but with all that said. unathletic gary payton who lost to the bulls held jordan to .......less then 43% in that playoff round. this is in a non Zone era. sure guys could touch you. but they couldnt double you off the ball, and they couldnt just pack the paint like they do today.

So what would've happened if jordan had to go up against a prime kobe bryant + zone defense? LOL.

all players look human. except for magic. magic only looked human when he was playing half hurt and when he caught aids.

^^watch the entire thing so you can stop with the false reality and revisionist history when it comes to jordan.

Quit trolling Houston. Kobe could NEVER win a title without a big who was a threat in the post like Shaq or to a lesser degree in Bynum. The Lakers was Shaq's team. Kobe was his bytch. Shaq>>> Kobe

MJ never has been to even the 2nd round without Pippen in his whole career.

:patrice:
your posts are so forced and shyt.

breh, its time to just bow out quietly.

im one of the biggest bron supporters here since :hamster: and this shyt is just indefensible

He didn't. The Bulls was the only loaded squad in the 90's. Everyone else wasn't even close. That Bulls team wouldn't win 6 titles in today's NBA. Not good enough in the low post. Adv analytics would have been hell on MJ. Today's defenders are much longer, bigger, and more agile especially in the playoffs than in the early and mid 90's. MJ struggles v. the zone.

those Bulls teams were winning title after title when the league was stacked with great big men.

both finals teams this season arent even starting centers anymore, but the Bulls arent good enough in the post??? :mindblown:

i just cant brehs.. i just cant read this shyt anymore.

this dude just said

I see kobestans are subtely using this Lebron meltdown platform to propel their man into :mjpls: class :usure:

We see you and no it aint gonna work

I wouldn't even say that's it. Ever since his majesty won a title Kobe has all but been erased and forcibly swept under the rug while idiots compare LeBron to Jordan. The point is, how can this nikka be Jordan already and he ain't even Kobe. :what:

Basically, since we're out of the Kobe era he's also a point of reference in the discussion of LeBron's place in basketball history. Our shooting gawd has a few years left to do whatever he's gonna do and he has his spot in the upper echelon. LeBron has yet to earn his place but everyone is pushing him into that circle already, thankfully only the game decides who gets in. :ehh:

Ok I'll Stop With The "MJ Is A Legend" Talk, You're Right Clearly He Isn't

The NBA Was Soft And Watered Down, The Talent Level Was Easier, Everybody Was Bums, The Defense Was Worse Etc...

You Right MJ Wasn't That Great Man, U Made Me See The Light

thats not what i said. i said stop with MJ wasnt human talk but kobe and lbj were. nonsense.

MJ was God among mortals for sure, but he showed he was human when a real defender got up in him. GP prime example. so imagine if another god like player that was also a defender got up in him.. thats something mike never had to deal with. thats just the reality fo it.

Kobe on the other hand, unlike lebron and unlike mike. had to deal with other god like players. but yet kobe stilled rose to the top. thats why there's no LOGICAL way you can say kobe isnt on jordan's level.

again, lebron is not on kobe's level, and he's not on jordans level. i told yall this before. but yall wouldnt listen. and that wont change no matter what happens this series. now if by next season he comes out with a complete game that translates in pressure situations. i'll put LBJ right up there with kobe and jordan.

we've gone over this.

TMAC, Vince carter, do you want me to keep going?

half the nba was full of guys just like kobe when kobe was dominating.

most of the nba did not have a 6'4 to 6'6 hyper athletic, strong SG that could handle the ball.

most guys were to short, not nearly as athletic as mike. or the bigger guys were unathletic. only a very small portion of guys were at least good athletic guys at 6'4+ with longarms that were known defenders. and those guys were just that, good defenders and so so on offense.

a part of the reason why GP made jordan look so mortal wasnt just on defense. it was GP's offense. you need both to deal with guys like jordan, kobe, etc.

you cant just guard them. you have to score on them as well. you have to make them work on defense like crazy. how often did mike have to work on defense? not often. cause guys that he would guard were not great offensive players MOST times.

kobe has had to go up against the alien defenders, guys 6'5+ with ridiculous wingspans, with the hyper athleticism to boot.
jordan saw ehlo. super long but slow defender. he was a known good defender in jordan's era. if he was good in mikes era. what the heck is a 6'9 kirilenko, with the same ridiculous wing span but with real legit athleticism?
or a marion...
