If I'm starting a team today, I'd build around Kawhi over everyone else.
Dude is unreal and not even in/barely into his prime.
I can definitely see a current superstar with or without rings four years from now wanting to team up with Kawhi for one last push to get themselves one more/a ring.

It helps he's with the greatest organization in the association. This Spurs team is stacked they have great players from the 1 guy all the way to the reserves.
On his individual accolades alone heavily going i to the Hall Of Fame.
He won't have an impact on the game like Lebron because of his personality.

Kawhi wasn't 2017 Kawhi yet back in 2014. He was a great defender already, but he did NOT shut Lebron down. The Spurs won because they were working the ball on offense every possession and Heat were too old/hurt to guard shyt. (start 38yo Ray, 34yo Rashaad, and an injured Wade in the same game brehs) Duncan or TP could have been named Finals MVP just as easily as Kawhi, Ginobli wasn't far behind, and even Danny Green and Patty were hitting everything.
Lebron left Miami because his team still didn't have a real center or a point guard and it looked like Wade was done. Not because a Spurs team that was also about to age out had him shook.
