Let's play guess who said this bout Flair: On a scale of 1-to-10, I'd rate Ric Flair about a 3

I agree with Bret's assessment, though. Flair DID have the same match with everyone about 90% of the time. He literally had the same formula of match with Vader as he did with Sting as he did with Hogan as he did with Eddie Guerrero as he did with Brad Armstrong. And he used terrible psychology, as he'd usually spend about 80% of the match setting up the figure four by doing arm work and chops. 3/10 is low, but I wouldn't put him over 6/10 for sure.

Dude had his 3 star match formula and worked it with EVERYONE. If he wasn't an all time great promo guy, he'd have been a Terry Taylor level guy. Solid, dependable, never exceeding a certain level. It's a similar reason as to why Kurt Angle can never be on my GOAT list, because once he found his formula, he'd work the same match with Brock and Big Show as he would against Jay Lethal and Chris Daniels.

he shouldnt be the one saying seen one, seen them all
Bret had three different matches with three different wrestlers on the SAME NIGHT!!! Bret vs Shawn SSeriea 92, Wm 12, Sseries 97, are nothing alike etc..

Ironman match was an hour long, he had no choice but to change it up.

Seen one, seen them all dont only apply to Bret either. Same applies for Stone Cold

KOTR 1993 is probably Bret's crowning achievement, even though he had individual matches that were better at other times. Dude was in full on "fukk Hogan" mode that night. It's crazy to me that some people try to pretend like WWF wasn't Bret's company in the 90s. They added a fukking PPV to the schedule FOR HIM. It's like saying WWE hasn't been Cena's company for the past 2 years because of Roman's push.

Flair is my favorite wrestler ever and GOAT IMO but I'm a big fan of bret as well so I can speak objectively

I find the "flair only had one match and you seen it one you seen it all" one of the dumbest critics in wrestling. Guys like Storm and Malenko who know 1000 holds and moves couldnt hold flair's jockstrap in the ring.Flair has wrestled everyone in his time all over and gotten a good match or carried random joes in small towns to matches. There is more to wrestling then moves, it's mostly about telling a story and keeping the fans invested and entertained. Flair is the best ever at doing all of that and I aruge his 60 min broadway with Barry Windham is not the same match as Mania 24 with Shawn so idk buy that and never did.

Bret had a lot of snozefests as well as had his own "5 moves of doom" himself so idk why he had such a problem with this.Every wrestler has a formula
