I can see how this album might appeal to some folks, but it does absolutely nothing for me.

It was good. Not on par with the first 3 obviously, but a massive improvement over Yeezus.

It is that serious when the artist who makes the music speaks as if he's the god of all things great. When your reputation is this high and you embrace it, it becomes serious.

Alright so I've heard the album about 5/6 times now.
The good:
- production
- Ghostface Killah sample
The bad:
- no cohesion (I don't buy into this Picasso muddled shyt and Kanye's conflicted mind...I just don't)
- the best tracks are all supposed bonus tracks (e.g. 30 Hours and NMPILA)
- barely any Kanye (which in retrospect may be good)
- lyrics are weak as fukk, childish/corny, no thematic development
- too much autotune
- confused concept or lack thereof
The production is so good at times it gives you hope, that's until Kanye comes in talking about bleached a$$holes or Taylor and Ray J etc.
I think you can bump this shyt in the background but for what it's worth this album has minimal replay value if you want to really sit with it. So much potential just fukked up.
In comparison to Yeezus, I think this album is better because that album was
BUT, at least it was cohesive and threaded together well
this was a total rush job, evident by Kanye's twitter mess and a constant change of ideas just days/hours prior to release. So unprofessional.
