[Verse 1: Prodigy]
Last night I had a vision of my dead friends in my sleep
They showed me things, I ain't really wanna see
They showed me flashbacks of murder
Scenes, bodies bubblin', in acid tubs
With they feet, head, and hands cut off

Oh shyt, I had woke up buggin', sweatin' bullets
Checkin' for my gun, I gotta
Stop smoking that haze or something
I know I ain't crazy, I'll go outside for
Some fresh air maybe, it's 3 o'clock in the night
The block is on fire, took
My nikka bottle for a swig oh the fire
He told he just had seen the bytch ass
nikka, must be god that's keeping me from seein' this nikka
Wanna crawl on me, and creep on me
Cause they know better then to let me see him in front
Of me, outside the car, away from the police
I'll turn him into dreams, demons in my sleep

who says shyt like that? :50takedat: P da gawd.

I actually thoroughly enjoyed that album even though P wasn't great on it.

:demonic:

fukk that, Blood Money was DOPE, nikkas just hated it because of the G-unit stamp really, I'm convinced.

it was hated because it didn't sound like a mobb deep Album. a mobb deep Album is mainly produced by havoc maybe with a little Alchemist sprinkled in here and there. blood money was filled with generic g-unit production and that just wasn't what people wanted. To this day I don't understand why they did that, Mobb Deep has a certain formula which worked for them. Infamy was already criticized because the sound wasn't classic mobb deep, then they dropped the mixtape which got people hyped only to follow it up with blood money, which had a completely different sound.

Album was reviewed with emotion rather than facts.

It's honestly a very good album but the 50 cent backlash was in full swing and people hated the idea of mobb deep on g unit.

Music was fire save for a couple bad tracks.

It always kinda felt like an ego thing for 50 though. Like he was doing it as a power play. Like okay Jay "ended" them so I'm gonna flex and make them hot again.

But,politics aside the music has aged well.

This album gets the same treatment all Mobb Deep albums after Murda Muzik got. It's like those albums get treated as wack because of the perception that Prodigy fell off. There's people who don't really give Murda Muzik props (it might be their third best, but it holds it's own against Infamous and Hell On Earth). Personally, I think Infamy, Amerikaz Nightmare, and Blood Money are all solid albums.

Yea, it's a solid album and i could bump it for what it was, but it was missing that vintage mobb vibe
