Idk, I just got PS+ like two weeks ago, ang they have like auto update or something, but its really only good for free games and discounts, but Gold gives you discounts, and the games arnte free you can just play them as long as you keep paying.

I see how they can sell it tho, people build up these big libraries of "free" games and dont want to give it up for the perceived value it has...Oh look I have $1000 worth of games, and I only pay $3 a month, everybody loves to feel like they are getting a sale, or a bargain.

I really dont think PS+ will continue the same way that it is one ps3, too many people waiting for free games, and not buying new shyt or only the AAA games. (its going to hurt devs imo)

For me personally what has worth is worth paying for, I'd rather buy the games I want, I dont have time for all of these "free" games anyway, and if I were to pay for a game rental service, I'd much rather spend 3-4 more dollars and get gamefly and at least choose the game I get "free" instead of a bunch of games that I wouldnt buy if I seen them at gamestop for $5.

Like I said tho, what has worth is worth paying for and I can see how many people see worth in it, but I'd much rather spend money on PS+ if it had a better online experience than to get a rental service

a lot of us had free online on our PS3 s but still choose to pay for live, but no nobody wants to pay for things that they don't have to. So if gold was free to go online and the media apps like HBOGO weren't behind a paywall, then why they hell would i or anybody want pay for that shyt?

i had Gamefly and unless you're a very dedicated gamer who continually plays games otherwise you start losing money on the monthly fees. Playstation plus carries around a digital backlog indefinitely for multiple systems and those games don't go away. the thing about Playstation Plus is the free game is usually a high quality title that's a bit older and already had its run. if its a game you skipped that's great but many of these free games are games i bought on PC for a few dollars on Steam or are already games i own.

Because I dont have cable, and I get Netflix, hulu and HBGO go for free, so I can watch all types of shows and movies (Just caught up on true blood in like two weeks, and finished the wire before that, yeah I could have looked online to watch then but its much easier with the app plus it comes in nice on my HDTV. Also, they have wayyyy better movies than netflix)for $4 a month which is a lot cheaper that what nikkas pay for cable, so until Ps3 has HBOGO I see more value in it than a game barrow service.

You can say its greed or just good business, either way all of they billion dollar companies got where they did by being greedy and ruthless. If that makes MS a bad guy so be it, but really all of them are, and im no full when sony gets back it a better position than Xbox then I expect a lot of these things to change (I'm talking years down the line) but its really easy to see that PS3 was in a shyt position and needed things to bring people back in to them. Free online was/is big I recommended PS3s to plenty of people over an xbox because I knew they werent in a position to always have gold. Also when things like Netflix first popped up is was on the xbox, while you needed a disc to play it on the ps3, so sony knew that people liked watch netflix and it was getting really big on consoles, so they saw it as another reason to get people to come over because a lot of people were only watching nexfilx on their xbox. At the end of the day they all want our money, and if they could have went up against xbox while getting more free $$ from the people using the media apps they would simple and plain, but xbox live is a better services no matter what you guys want to say, so they have to bring people in other ways.

But yes its greedy as shyt, never said it was a good thing for me to have to pay, but what has worth is worth paying for. You find more worth in PS+ than Gold and I can see why but competition is good for everybody(besides the leading company), I think gold and PS+ will evolve this new gen, and I expect the values of both to change (good or bad), we'll see whats better in a year
