yeah. swapping out michael fukking jordan for steve fukking myers is "largely unchanged".

just to prove ur point breh? seriously?? :wtb:
:mindblown:

breh, they had the same roster minus Jordan.

The next year they were like a 7th seed in the east until Jordan came back and Horace Grant came back.

The Bulls were rumored to try and trade Pippen too.

What do you consider "do it"? Scottie Pippen did his THANG in 1994 and in 1995 up until Jordan returned....even finishing 3rd in the MVP race in 1994.

In Houston, they just didnt mesh well. He played awful in the playoffs that year, as well as The Dream, and it was a blatant case of too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. Pip WANTED to prove badly that he could win a title without MJ and didnt wanna play the "sidekick" (or 3rd wheel) role in Houston (think Kobe's mindset from 2004-2009).

He stayed there for only that 1 season, but I believe Dream, Chuck, and Pip wouldnt have never figured it out at that particular stage of their respective careers.

In Portland, it wasnt because the team had no discipline, it was because they couldnt stop Shaq & Kobe. The Blazers lost to the Lakers in the playoffs in 2000, 2001, and 2002.....3 of Pip's 4 years in Portland. The Lakers were also NBA Champions those years as well, so you cant hold that against him/Blazers.

Scottie Pippen is a top 5 SF since the NBA-ABA Merger (LeBron, Bird, Durant, Erving, Pippen) and should be respected as such.
94 was his year but he didn't do shyt in 95. Chicago wasn't even going to make the playoffs

thats because that Bulls team was largely unchanged.

The next year, 1994-95, the Bulls struggled mightily after Grant went to Orlando..

Funny how everybody always talks about 93-94 and totally ignores the very next season.

Pip was great. The perfect compliment to a great scorer. He wasn't some nobody that Jordan "made" and he wasn't as good or better than Kobe :snoop:. Great player...definitely top 50 maybe 40. All due respect why were top 5-20 even options? :pachaha:

7 ALL NBA TEAMS
(3 1ST TEAMS)
10 ALL DEFENSIVE TEAMS
(8 1ST TEAMS)

WORTHY
:flabbynsick:2 ALL NBA 3RD TEAM SELECTIONS...

LAKERS WENT TO THE shytTER WHEN MAGIC RETIRED...

PIP HELD shyt DOWN WHEN MIKE LEFT...

:manny:HISTORY WILL SHOW PIPPEN AS THE BETTER PLAYER EASILY.
@Newzz FORGOT WORTHY BECAUSE HE ISNT TOP 5....
YOU DONT FORGOT TOP 5 PLAYERS...

PIP GAVE YOU MORE BOARDS, DIMES, ELITE D
AND THE SAME SCORING NUMBERS...

Nah, Worthy > Pippen. I forgot about him, because I was just throwing together a list.

You know what's funny though is that Pippen wouldnt have made many All-NBA teams back when Worthy started and was in his prime (rookie season 1983 until he got injured in 1992) either. Worthy had Prime Larry Bird, Julius Erving, Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley, Adrian Dantley, Bernard King, Alex English, Terry Cummings, Kevin McHale, Karl Malone, Tom Chambers, Chris Mullin all battling for the All-NBA team against him when there where only 4 All-NBA Forward positions were available until the 1989 season. 1989 - present, up to 6 Forwards can make the All-NBA team. If it was always like that, BG would have more all-nba teams on his resume

He was also playing on a team that also had Kareem, Magic, and sometime Byron putting up 20ppg WITH James Worthy which heavily skewed his stats to the lower end. We never got to see Big Game James be the #1 option on a team while still healthy and in his prime. He was always surrounded by at least 2 other 20 ppg scorers.

The thing that puts Worthy ABOVE Pippen to me is the fact that Worthy led his team to the NBA Finals over the same "Bad Boys" Pistons that Pippen struggled with everytime out. Worthy is a NBA Finals MVP....Pippen was never able to accomplish that. Therefore, to me and plenty others Worthy > Scottie Pippen

PIPPEN LOST THE GOAT
THEN HE LOST THE 2ND BEST PLAYER ON HIS TEAM IN GRANT...

:wtf:WAS HE REALLY SUPPOSED TO LEAD THE BULLS TO A GREAT RECORD IN 95?

:pachaha:"YEA NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THAT SEASON WHEN PIP DIDNT HAVE THE 1ST AND 3RD BEST PLAYERS FROM THE TITLE TEAMS"

WHO GETS THAT HELD AGAINST THEM?

Apparently James Worthy, because you sure didnt care that Worthy lost KAJ and Magic when you said this:sas1:

Pippen had a better 3 ball, got the line at a higher rate, was a better playmaker, is arguably the GOAT perimeter defender

Im not so sure Worthy is a better player :ld:

Worthy could certainly create his own shot better, but Pippen was the full kitchen sink.

its pretty clear that you can't compare Jordan and Lebron title runs to that of the 80's when basketball was better, obviously, there are better athletes today, but the team was better back then

His defense created his offense.

Dude was not a create his own shot off the dribble guy. Don't care how many youtube clips you show...that wasn't his game.

I wouldn't put James Worthy over Pippin either, no disrepect to Worthy, but Pippen was an elite defender and played at a high level for most of his career, that Portland team in the early 2000s could have won the title, but they lacked discipline and better coaching.
