This isn't the same at all. The situations are completely different and the personalities of LeBron and KD are also completely different.

As for whether KD could actually lift (basketball-wise) the Cavs to the Finals, considering nothing else, then I think the Cavs would become a rich man's version of Carmelo Anthony's Knicks and compete in the ECF.
