TBH Cartoon Network started to fall off around 2005/06ish. The writing was on the wall when they bushed Toonami for Miguzi (to get little kids/girls watching the network) and when they started to slowly implement live action shows in to the programming. They also started to scale back or outright cancel the original Cartoon Cartoons block (PPG, Dexters Lab, Eds, Johnny Bravo, I Am Weasel, Cow and Chicken, etc.) But 98-2004, Cartoon Network was on GOAT status.
I remember that stretch from 2008 when I had questioned why I was even watching the network anymore. At that point, Codename: KND and Foster's were either done or on their way out, Chowder and Flapjack felt like the only Cartoon Cartoons, and like you said....they started to implement live-action shows into their programming. And while the Canadian cartoons were good, it just didn't feel like the Cartoon Network I once knew. shyt was on a downward slope.

I'm well out of the age demographic now and I have no idea what's on that channel anymore save for Teen Titans Go.

They should've never bushed Billy and Mandy, Chowder and Teen Titans. These shows had potential to be SpongeBob and Fairly Odd Parents status.

It was a terrible decision to drop All of those shows for new ones, wouldn't it be smart to keep some old mixed in with the new blood?

When a NBA rebuilds they bring in vets to develop the rookies, instead CN had a plethora of new faces that shortly disappeared because they put all their belief in a new, unproven show with a unforeseeable shelf life.

Wholeheartedly agree. Their management during the past decade was horrendous. Had a few gems like Regular Show, Gumball, AT but.....

:scust: @ them bushing Young Justice

:gucci: @ them death-slotting Secret Saturdays

:mindblown: @ them giving Sym-Bionic Titan and Thundercats reboot the boot

SOHH Class of 2006
This is kind of a Spin Off thread

But i just realized, looking back at their lineup Nickelodeon and Disney really wasnt shyt besides their top shows like Spongebob and Hannah Montana.

CN was diverse AF you had Boomerang showing old time classics,

Flintstones
Jetsons
Tom and Jerry

PLUS MORE

qPOaeWbqnJYlDWX-800x450-noPad.jpg

Then theres the modern classics like Johnmy Bravo, Dexters Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Time Squad, EdEdd and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, Static Shock, My Gym Partners A Monkey, Ben 10, Billy and Mandy, Scooby Doo, Pokemon , Looney Tunes, Codename KND, Robot Boy, Chowder.

On TOP OF THAT they even had Anime first, just flexing on the other channels with Toonami :mjlol:

Introducing so many children to Anime

One Piece
Sailor Moon

Looking back they might not even be Bulls Status, this fukking 73-9 Warriors territory, conpletely unfair :pachaha:

EDiT: forgot YuGiOh

EDIT 2: forgot the Meguzi block

Shows:
Code Lyoko
Teen Titans
Static Shock
Totally Spies
Storm Hawks (i think?)
Codename KND

Cartoon network was piff during the day and with Adult Swim at night too.

I really don't even want to think about all the hours I spent watching Cartoon network right now though. I still watch Adult swim and all of those Toonami animes they had on there. Cartoons never get old.

Whoever made that list is a whole biased fakkit

Camp lazlo is way better than gumball, definitely has to be born in the 2000s

Adventure time, gum ball and regular show should be low tier. Art style, characters are very bland. disrespectful list.
