It makes perfect sense....black women are routinely likened to beasts, ratchets, animals, and something less than human...just like black males as a whole. Many people take great delight in seeing us hurt. Furthermore, scientific studies have proven that even well meaning people dont assume blacks have the same feelings and pain threshold as other races per the racial empathy gap. We're almost like the bad guys in the movies you're itching to see get whats coming to them in the form of extreme violence.
You see the self hatred all the time here as well when black women is the topic.

Nothing double standard about it because Solange isn't white. Black women do not have the luxury of victim status no matter what has happened to us, even when we are being beat senseless by men. Violence against Black women is often actually entertainment (you see it often on this very forum) regardless of the gender of the perpetrator.
