Cool pics man, Ancient Egypt is my favorite civilization. I think the only exhibits I've seen were at my aunts museum in chicago, they had a few mummies and other things. I'd love to go to Egypt and see the pyramids in person, but I heard Egypt is somewhat dangerous to visit nowadays. Please post more pics when you get the chance

You don't have a good grasp of African migration.
No but i do understand that not all enslaved africans that were brought to the new world came from Egypt.

There is no denying that, like most great civilizations Egypt attracted a lot of immigrants from different areas of Africa. But we need to stop acting like we all came from Egypt. Thats all i'm saying, breh.

Using this MEME as an EXAMPLE, strictly.

Some people like to disregard the other great civilizations and just rep egypt because it was the most advanced. Many other greattribes and civilizations came from West African terirtories. Sub-Saharan territories.

I like how they completely mapped the afterlife and how to get there safely after death. And we in 2014 dont know what the fukk is going on after death. :snoop:

Egypt stood as an empire from 5000 BC to 600 BC

Trans-Atlantic slavery began in the 1600s AD.

Use your brain.

So you're gonna send me to read an hour worth of material rather than answer the question? :beli:

All Africans come from the East and went West. When Egypt flourished we had not yet fully migrated West. Islamic West Africa and Egypt were tied at the hip, as well.

Still doesnt explain why some people are obsessed with ignoring sub-saharan African lineage for the most part. That was the point that I was making.

For example i know my ancesters likely came from what is now Guinee, Guinee Bissot and Benin area. A lot of our ancestors ALSO came from what is now Senegal. Their customs and legacy needs to be upheld and respected too. Not just that of Egyptians.

Again, doggy I'm not saying our ancestors werent the ones to build that great civilization. Just saying let's acknowledge all of our roots rather than pick and choose who we want to relate to.

Trust me i hate it to but it's a term thats heavily used in African History. I dont think there is anything wrong with it but it does a negative perception. I once asked this history professor I had who was from Ghana about it and why are they talked about as if they were two africas. I honestly dont remember his answer. Im sure i could find his ass again and ask since my home boy is related to him
