There is no denying that, like most great civilizations Egypt attracted a lot of immigrants from different areas of Africa. But we need to stop acting like we all came from Egypt. Thats all i'm saying, breh.

Still doesnt explain why some people are obsessed with ignoring sub-saharan African lineage for the most part. That was the point that I was making. All Africans come from the East and went West. When Egypt flourished we had not yet fully migrated West. Islamic West Africa and Egypt were tied at the hip, as well.

For example i know my ancesters likely came from what is now Guinee, Guinee Bissot and Benin area. A lot of our ancestors ALSO came from what is now Senegal. Their customs and legacy needs to be upheld and respected too. Not just that of Egyptians
Trust me i hate it to but it's a term thats heavily used in African History. I dont think there is anything wrong with it but it does a negative perception. I once asked this history professor I had who was from Ghana about it and why are they talked about as if they were two africas. I honestly dont remember his answer. Im sure i could find his ass again and ask since my home boy is related to himI hate the word "sub-saharan African " but yes, Mali, Ghana, Askum,Swahili Coast, Great Zimbabwe, Zulu, Moors,Songhai all deserve more attention
They separate now?
You know what I meant bruh them as a whole I said Egyptians first but added in Africa so it didn't seem like I left out the entire continent. Emphasizing Egypt is all
