Lets talk about Egypt...

Man, i recently visited the Lourve museum in Paris and got a chance to get a close look at the egypt exhibit. Its a great exhibit, and i encourage everyone to check it out if they get a chance to make it out to France. (With vrbo.com and falling airline prices, its actually really affordable now...)

But anyways, one thing i got from the xhibit was that the Egyptian civiliazation was a truly magnificent display of true black excellence. Its so amazing to read how sophisticated and advanced they were in compared to their Caucasian and Asiatic counterparts. Its was truly a glorious time for Africans.

I want to post a few pics of some of the exhibits i saw there:

Model of boat:

This was taken out of the tomb of a rich fisherman. Clearly they had boats that they sailed the nile and likely far away lands with. The detail of the boat is amazing.

Jewlery set. worn by either men or women.

Egyptians were literally rocking piece and chains in 3000BC!

More jewels.

Swag for days.

And also, they saw themselves as Gods. The Pharoah was basically supposed to be the son of God. So the people literally worshiped the leader as a diety. Not sure if this is the best form of government, but one thing that can't be argued is that is is effective in getting people on the same page, allowing folks to fight less and progress as a people. I think it was the formation of kingdoms that allowed the Europeans to grow as well.

I still laugh about scientists not being able to figure how the Egyptians moved the blocks to make the Pyramids. Spending decades coming up with complicated explanations as to how they were able to move 1000lb pound blocks and the Egyptians were like "we just poured water in the sand, idiot. Mali should get a lot more shine than it does. Mansa Musa I was the richest man of all time, thats a feat in itself....the Mali Empire was only second to the Mongol Empire during its time. Built the first university. Was a major trade center in the ancient world, controlling everything west of the Sahara. There's theories that Mali had contact with the Americas before Columbus. Fascinating place. But they have two things going against them......Mali was black without a shadow of a doubt and Muslim/Arab. So the Western world will never teach anything about them in their schools.

Quality post. The Egyptians and Africans were pioneers in many ways. I visited the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa. It is so overrated.

But i see what he means tho. It goes with what I've always said about how SOME African-Americans only seem to associate themselves with Egypt when it comes to talking about their african ancestry. As if non of ancesters could have came from Sub-Saharan Africa.
Now mind you, I understand that Egypt was the juggernaut of African civilizations but come on, brehs. African was and is more than just Egypt.
