Trump was not specific at all about his policy proposals. Build a wall and Ban Muslims are not policies. There was no plan of action released during the campaign which is why it was such a clusterfukk when he went to implement them.

When compared to the other bobble heads he was up against, those are actually very clearly laid out policies.

If you say so. But just because he ran on two things that other candidates didn't doesn't mean he won on policy. Policies are detailed and show a course. Trump ran on dogmatic statements of white supremacy masked in economic anxiety and fear. Drain the swamp, cool, but how? We never did find out.

This thread serves as such an accurate microcosm as to what is wrong with democrats. You all refuse to take an honest step back and reflect of the things other people say.

Trump was direct and painted a clear vision of his policies. That can not be refuted. Especially when compared to all the other con artists he was up against. Even up to this day, Trump will tweet about something and have a clear idea as to what he thinks about it.

Saying we need to stop undocumented immigration is an opinion. Saying I'm against allowing undocumented immigrants into the country is a political position. Saying "I will build a wall to stop undocumented immigration" is a campaign promise. Saying you will give more authority and funding to state and federal immigration officials to control undocumented immigration is a policy. Producing a white paper that outlines your actions and the benefits/costs is part of a detailed policy proposal.

This is all fallout from Clinton circa 1996. His whole regime was based on "let's move to the center to appeal to Republicans and keep our base!" Problem is in the process he alienated and systematically dismantled the Democratic voter turnout base. And Republicans stayed right where they're at.
