And i forgot Born Alone Die Alone by Banks on that soundtrack. i'm starting to think this might be g units best work, period. I slept on because it came around massacre/documentary which is what everyone was on. But upon further assessment, GRODT soundtrack is probably g units best peice of work my a landslide.
movie was a 7/10...Bruh that soundtrack for the movie was slept on heavy, even though it went plat.

kim bassinger doeI liked Em's acting in 8 mile
No one else could have pulled off the self-ether in the final battle better
i love 50, but he should have another dude play him. film had a great director in Jim Sheridan, who made his name with one the of the goat actors daniel day lewis. the script was written by the creator of boardwalk empire. i felt it even had a nice angle on a story. how close the rap game is to the street game. we always know that has been true, but we needed to see both those angles together. we know a lot of rappers been extorted etc. i even liked some of the cinamatography.
had joy bryant
viola davis
what brought this film down was 50, the worst actor since nas.
imagine chadwick boseman playing 50's character. shyt, these rappers need to just swallow their pride and let a real actor play them.
8 mile was horrible but white privelage gave em a pass and critocs acted like that dude could act.
is there any thing about that film that you liked or was it just horrible.
i watch the trailer and it had so much potential.
For some of ya' older fellers, what was all the hate from the black community towards the 50 Cent, and in particular towards this movie?
