Why are people so outraged over this? The President's kids are protected by guns, but yet American people are told they can't do the same with theirs.
Considering the amount of money it would take to place trained armed gaurds in EVERY school, don't you think that money could be spent elsewhere to better protect our kids?
Putting a real security system in the schools would be more effective at stopping these shootings than an armed guard would.
Also if your kids were going to a school that doesn't have enough money to pay for books, teachers, or extracurricular activities. Would you want them spending extra money on training and paying gaurds, or would you want your kids to get a proper education?
Lastly it's not the presidents policy or position that his kids deserve armed gaurds and other people's kids don't. This type of sensationalism just fuels the crazy's to go out and buy more guns, and muddies the conversation on what we realistically could/should do to address the gun violence problem in America.
