Let's Talk About Gun Control

I think any rational person understands that the fukking President of the United States needs to have armed security.

That being said, since I'm not the President, I'd like the right to buy my own protection for my family seeing as how I am not wealthy or famous and I live in a high crime area.

I think some of these celebrities and politicians have been rich and out of touch for so long, that they don't find their high walls, armed security, security cameras, and specific police protection to be hypocritical.

I'm glad you and your family did, but let's count the kids at columbine and sandy hook, even out of the population that's .000000000000001% that's still more kids killed than presidents kids, which is 0%. The president doesn't love his kids more than the parents of the murdered students. Asking for an armed officer on campus isn't a big deal at all.

They're not just talking about armed officers on campus though....They're talking about MULTIPLE armed officers on campus in addition to the faculty being armed.

We already have teachers unfairly disciplining students and having sex with students, I'd hate to add guns to that situation also.

Another thing that the NRA got completely fukking wrong was the fact that Obama has NEVER said he was against armed guards. The reason guys like the NRA Vice President was called a nut by everyone was because he thought that the ONLY thing that should be done is to have armed guards.

That was the issue at hand.

I guarantee Obama's proposal as already being reported is going to include funding for more armed guards anyway. He just wants to add multiple things to the proposal and not just being a bigot who thinks simply armed guards alone will solve the problem.

But most people aren't proposing an outright ban on guns.......Most people are just saying we need stricter gun laws and a ban on assault weapons and high capacity clips.

I have learned more and more @VictorVonDoom that people like these are just hopeless and pointless to talk to. Obama right now is giving an exceptional job live right now discussing this whole program and people will still find some faults with it.

Exactly. I do not know what people are getting all bent out of shape about it for. It has been annoying to hear people only mention assault weapons ban instead of looking at the other actions. Annoying as fukk....

And I hope people do not compare to the average ass "Brady Bill" because this is EXTREMELY expansive, and not just a ban on assault weapons and background checks in 94.

It has not been this big since 1968; I mean these guys are going extremely all the way in on this issue, trying to have as little flaws as possible. But waits for the "Its a society issue it will never change" answer.

Obama Supporters at the one saying he's only a small cog in the machine. That he has to tap dance to the system's music.

Which is it?

Is he the one ordering the FBI to work at the behest of big banks? Is he the one ordering illegal strikes that kill innocent children? Is he the one that chooses not to prosecute Wall Street criminals?

Because according to some of you Obama Supporters, he has no choice in those things.

This part right here makes no sense. They've been doing studies for decades to find a link between violence and videogames and violence in the real world and virtually every study (conducted around the globe) finds no significant link whatsoever.

I'm guess they just put that in there to make old muthafukkas feel better or something.

Only two issue I really have if this is what he proposed. Seems to border on limiting art. And studies have shown video games not to be a factor (if I recall correctly). I also don't want our schools to be prisons.

I don't like the Assualt Weapons Ban, but it doesn't make any rifles illegal, only certain aesthetics.
