Get used to it. This will happen even when these new gun control laws go into effect.

I just hope you're ready.

:mindblown:

I swear yall make some of the most bullshyt arguments in here....

Nobody is saying better gun laws and cutting down the sheer number of guns in this country is going to put an END to gun violence, but it could help to curtail gun violence to some degree.

Seat belts and airbags haven't put an end to car accident related deaths but nobody is going to be dumb enough to argue we don't need seat belts or airbags anymore or try to get rid of those things "Because they don't work".

I wasn't saying that. I was demonstrating that these mass shootings will continue to happen. I don't have a problem with 85% of what the President and Vice President proposed.

I just think some people in here will continue to react like LegendNas just did, and neglect the fact that the are underlying issues to these mass shooting besides guns.

I know there are various reasons.........particularly the wide income disparity in this country, and lack of strong parenting growing up due to various reasons, because alot of these guys usually end up being young guys with a single mother.

I never said I didn't think there were other reasons.

No it's not....You do realize that American Society is actually LESS violent than it has been at any other point right?

*edit*

nvm didn't catch that it's just some trolling prick....
1. I am not a troll or a prick. I am a woman.

2. To be clear, I am not talking about violence in general. I am talking about gun violence, in particular the mass shootings and the massacres of late.

I was noting that these shooting were random and not directed at anyone in particular. The motives in those school shootings that was posted earlier were clear.

It seems like these shooters have no motive, except for being sick/angry in general.

No one expects to go to a bar and in walks a guy who wants to shoot people at random, then kill himself. That is what I meant.

I would, however, like to see where you got this information from about the country being less violent than at any other point.

If most Americans in the 1900s and before were living in rural communities of less than 1000 people, how violent could they have been, compared with today?

I do not mind being wrong, my ego isn't nearly as big as some of these other posters, I just want to know.

I think what they were saying is exactly what you said in your last paragraph.

Tough gun laws will not prevent gun crime. Tough gun laws doesn't prevent the district of columbia from having the highest number of gun related deaths.

Drugs and prostitution is illegal and yet readily available. Tough gun laws will not limit guns or gun crimes.

The only thing that will really limit guns is to control/limit the import, manufacturing, and sale of guns. Which is what most people fear.

Tough gun laws won't prevent more mass shootings. I actually think we should have more guns, not less, as a deterrent to crime.

in all fairness the texas shooting was more a crime on campus than "another one of those shootings". ..fromwhat i'm reading at least.

1. limit clip size
2. limit where you can carry
3. ban fully auto weapons and anything that explodes.
4. make background checks mandatory, for private sales as well.

Done.
Pretty much anything more than that and there's no good reason for the change.
