No it's not....You do realize that American Society is actually LESS violent than it has been at any other point right?

2. To be clear, I am not talking about violence in general. I am talking about gun violence, in particular the mass shootings and the massacres of late.
I was noting that these shooting were random and not directed at anyone in particular. The motives in those school shootings that was posted earlier were clear.
It seems like these shooters have no motive, except for being sick/angry in general.
No one expects to go to a bar and in walks a guy who wants to shoot people at random, then kill himself. That is what I meant.
I would, however, like to see where you got this information from about the country being less violent than at any other point.
If most Americans in the 1900s and before were living in rural communities of less than 1000 people, how violent could they have been, compared with today?
I do not mind being wrong, my ego isn't nearly as big as some of these other posters, I just want to know.
