Wiggins advanced stats as a freshman: http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/kansas/andrew-wiggins

Gay's advanced stats as a freshman: http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/connecticut/rudy-gay

So despite the fact Wiggins was hyped to be the next LeBron, his production in college suggest he's the next Rudy Gay. Their stats mirror each other than the fact Gay's FG% (46%) is much better than Wiggins (43% :rudy:) and Wiggins gets to the line as a freshman better than Gay his first year. (Gay also excelled at blocking shots but I'll let that slide as an anomaly)

Rebound rate
Assist rate
Offensive rating
True Shooting %

... are all damn near identical. Yeeeeet, I'm sure many of you will ignore the stats and continue to think Wiggins is something he's not (superstar potential :laff:), but hey, I can't help you there. Both players have +size and athleticism but lack ball handling, agility, and +shooting ability to maxmize their physical gifts and be true franchise players at the next level.

To my real basketball fans, now dap me :blessed::blessed::blessed:

Dapped.

I said weeks ago that Wiggins reminds me of Rudy Gay at UConn.

While i agree hes overrated and the Lebron/Kobe comaprsions were assinine hes not close to them as prospects at the same age i still think this whole judging players nba potential on college stats is foolish

And dont get me started on advanced stats,on their draft board Jordan Adms is #1 because he gets steals and gets to the foul line :laff:

shyt like that is why Chris Grant was fired

Raymond Felton averaged 13/4/7 as a rookie in college. Russell Westbrook averaged 13/4/4 as a sophomore after only getting 9 minutes/game as a freshman. Westbrook is the new Raymond Felton? Idk if Wiggins will be better than Gay but I wouldn't use college stats as your argument.

College is such a different game then the pros i cant think of a more moronic way to predict future nba sucess or comparing players potential in the nba then comparing stats

Seattle We Run You Nyggas Ask Russel Wilson
I didn't watch Rudy Gay in college to make a judgment about the comparison. However, just because Rudy Gay doesn't live up to his potential doesn't mean Wiggins won't. I guess we're going to have to wait and see.

I'm seeing less and less Julius Randle posts from you :laff:

I said this before but the main thing is his handle.

This is like McLemore last year. People would be like "McLemore never takes over games" "McLemore always disappears"

Of course Wiggins is a much better prospect than him. But you really cant take over or get your shot off when you want if your handle aint right. Wiggins is just a straight line dribbler right now. But he cant break anybody down off the dribble. Thats the one thing stopping him from being a truly special player

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Julius is a beast, but has to work on his game still. He has a lot of potential though, he's starting to hit jumpers now. I still think he can go #2.

Scouts are starting to say Vonleh will be a better pro :lupe:

I can't see him going 2 to be honest, even if Embiid and Parker stay I think Wiggins and Exum would go 1 & 2.

Ehh. Randle is miles ahead of him offensively. Randle can cross people up and take them off the dribble, being able to do that with his combination of size, speed and power is impressive imo. Developing a jumper will open things up even more. There have been times this year where he totally took the game over, but he's inconsistent. He has a really aggressive mindset. If he could learn to facilitate and make people pay for help defense I think he could be a star player. He's getting better and learning how to be a team player. I guess it really depends on what team gets the #2 pick.

What is funny about this...is that I seen 7 kansas games this year...and in all of them Wiggins just looked barely above average...and we all know...based on history...that barely above average usually means the guy will be nothing more than a rotational nba player...

And...when I watch him play...the first name that comes to mind is Rudy Gay...

Realistically, out of all of these dudes being hyped as franchise guys...and there are about 5 of them...history shows that no way in hell all 5 pan out...maybe 2 pan our as real supestar players...and that depends on where they go...like...any of these guys go to cleveland and they are fukked....double fukked when Kyrie leaves...

I do not think Wiggins is going to be one of those superstar/ franchise guys...I've seen him get handled to many times by college players to think he can consistenly best nba players

I'm only relaying what I've read, Vonleh is starting to get looked at as having more potential since they feel he's longer (No Young Thug) and has a better stroke (No Ocean). I have only watched a couple games of Vonleh so I can't agree or disagree, so I can only go by what I've read on him vs Randle. Guess it'll come down to the workouts, combine and measurements on who is drafted first between them.

Averages 16/6/2 on a top 10 team where he's playing with the best center prospect since Oden & is still the best player on the team but is criticized by The Coli.

Sounds about right.
