I said immediately after that suspension that if CLE somehow managed to comeback (still didn't seem like a legit possibility) that Draymond would be the goat of all goats. However, he was the only guy that showed up for game 7. True enough Cleveland was daring him to shoot but as Barnes has shown us that doesn't guarantee anything.
He really isn't that good of a passer compared to the likes of Lebron, Westbrook, Harden, CP3 etc
....and i dont mean by jus gettin suspended, that goes witout mentioning.
any1 else feel that him callin lebron a biitch to his face made lebron feel some typa way? it created a monumental energy shift.. that moment was the turning point, as if lebron felt the need to prove he's not a biitch by any means necessarry once he was embarassed to the point of almost no return..it seemingly gave him the fuel he needed to wake up n start playin witout overthinking every possession like we've been accustomed to seeing
to make matters worse, after game 4, draymond was on the post-game show actin like they already won it all, askin barkley when he will get on his knees and apologize for pickin cleveland over golden state. when i seen that, i myself started thinkin twice about whether or not it was over, because u jus dont do that...period.
as much as we can sit here and blame steph, blame klay, blame ayesha..............i really think draymond's extraness did them in jus as much. perhaps this was the humbling experience he needed to reach that next level. at the end of the day, no way golden state loses if draymond knew his role and shut his mouth.

actually this post just made me see the OP's point
remember bron and wade on the sidelines celebrating early vs dallas... then jason terry running up on them pissed they did it... and them coming back that game with a fury and smashed them the rest of the series
i remember them wheeling the trophy out for the spurs with a minute left... and that pissing bron and wade off... same results
it's like being in a fight... you out there fighting for your life.. doing all you can... thinking you at your peak... then the guy says "and after i kick your ass, i'm going to rape your wife and kill your son"
then you find that deeper level you can go to and start going absolutely fukking nuts
now i'm not saying it's the ONLY reason... but bron turned into a totally different player after that shyt.. like he was just sitting there like "so you think i'm a bytch huh? ok fukk the right basketball play... this shyt just got real.. give me that fukking ball and watch me work"

But speaking of Jason Terry, he's the same one who tattoed the trophy on his arm before the season. When they go on and win, we talk about his confidence, swag, and refusal to lose. When he does it again and they don't win, its cocky, arrogant, and overconfident.
We all have seen LeBron turn it on with or without being called a bytch and we have seen him turn it off for no obvious reason either. People can add their own storylines but this is why we see so much superstition when it comes to sports. People can't really understand why sometimes they're successful and sometimes they aren't so they try to make correlations.
If someone shyt talks you and it affects your game in either direction, it means they got in your head. I don't see why any player would ever admit that they weren't giving their all.

it's not so much not giving it your all.... i don't know what it is really
again... it's like fighting for the championship belt vs fighting for the life of your family... in the moment, you really think you going all out to win that belt... but when it becomes life or death, you just tap into another realm
lebron was probably out there balling... doing everything he was trained to do... then draymond calls him a bytch and it's like his brain went to another place that it couldn't reach before he was flat out ANGRY
