It was the beats that did it really, the biggest singles I remember were Still D.R.E and The Next Episode.

The only thing Eminem "revived" was the Caucasian invasion of hip-hop.

if it wasnt for eminem aftermath would have folded and the west would have been even more:flabbynsick: so i see what your saying. but honestly cali hip hop history always been built on nikkas from other places making cali hot....from d.o.c. to pac n the outlawz to the list goes on:manny:

The west was still doing well post 2pac.... trying to act like Eminem is the sole reason that the West Coast didn't fall off the edge of the map is pure bullshyt.

in 1998, before Em supposedly "revived" the West Coast

WC- Tha Shadiest One
Ice Cube- War & Peace vol. 1
Xzibit- 40 Dayz and 40 Nights
Mack 10- The Recipe
DJ Quik-Rythym Al Ism
Kurupt-Kuruption!
Jayo Felony- Whatcha Gonna Do?
Nate Dogg- G Funk Classics vol 1. & 2
Snoop- Da Game is to be sold, Not To Be Told
Cypress Hill- IV

and the GOAT Gangsta R&B anthem

1998 was one of the most underrated years for West Coast hip hop

Dog...where would Eminem be exactly with out The Wake Up Show and Friday Night Flavaz?

He never would have been signed to Dre to begin with so......

Aftermath was pretty much a failure waiting to happen label "Firm, Eve, RBX, King T, Hittman" until eminem signed for them soo.....
