Griffey is better in every hitting stat from 27-32

Griffey has more home runs, walks, rbis and hits from 33-38 than trout from 27-32

Don't compare these men.
Let's go from Age 20 to 27 since that's the bulk of Trout's career where he was mostly healthy.

Trout: .308/.422/.587 with 71.7 WAR
Griffey: .307/.386/.577 with 55.9 WAR

This isn't to say Trout or Griffey was better or worse. Only to highlight that in their prime years before injury, they were comparable.

So no, we CAN compare these men.
Injuries robbed them of a lot.

Okay, so let's go further

Would you rather have 02-08 Griffey or David Ortiz? Or Albert Puljos?

You'd want the latter 2 because Griffey wasnt healthy right? That's our point. The BEST ABILITY IS AVAILABILITY. Trout lacks it.

That means leaving out a 3 year run where he was over a .915 ops all 3 years and had a 52 home run season with 115+ RBI’s. In said 3 year stretch he had a .279/.401/.572 triple slash with 27 doubles, 48 homers, 104 RBI’s, and 8.6 WAR per 162.

Now here’s 2021 to the present day:

An average per 162 of 9.4 WAR, 180 hits, 31 doubles, 1 triple, 56 home runs, 129 RBI’s, 9 steals while getting caught once, 115 walks to 179 strikeouts, and a triple slash of .308/.423/.648

Trout when healthy might of been the goat it just is what it is

He didn’t get to use roids or other peds which is a shame honestly just to heal up faster would of been something
Don’t know about GOAT, but I do wish he was able to use PEDs to sustain his prime.
